Just had one cleared off the line- or was it over the line? Looked like it was, but I wasn't in line and neither was the lino. Following the goalmouth melee a Braintree player went down "injured"; one way of relieving the pressure on them.
Half time two nil. Ref has lost control. Braintree are dirty players, divers and always pressuring the ref. No wonder they've hardly got any fans - it's hardly an entertaining style. The only thing in their favour is that they're pretty clinical finishers, having converted their two good chances. Cumbers is causing their defence all sorts of problems, but we haven't taken our chances, apart from the one that really did look over the line. Hopefully the highlights will show it...
I hate Braintree with a passion they have a **** ground, Inbread fans, The Only Way Is Essex type Players who are thugs as well and to top it all off they are bloody top of the league. I have never seen a more undeserving half time result in my life, the luck they had was disgusting.
Also a side that is top of the league only bring 25 away fans. Embarassing.

I'm afraid the ball didn't cross the line Moo.

Great free kick from Daisy and he had another went close, we had 2 cleared off the line, should have had a penalty and 4 should have been sent off. Braintree are effective and play the ref all game, moaning and diving, also they get away with fouling and holding. I hope they go up.
We were the better team for a lot of the game but the ref strangled us and didnt protect us. Their quote from their manager about "Welling like to play football too" is probably the funniest managerial quote ive ever heard.
Teams have to dive against them and play the ref as well as beat them. Its the way they play, Todays ref was a disgrace, and there was an assessor in the stand, if the assessor is any good he will report back the ref ruined the game and bottled big decisions and was scared of braintree.

The assessor will note the failure to award a second yellow to the number 4. It was the most blatant booking offence imaginable.

Former U's player avoids jail for road rage attack
8:00pm Wednesday 16th June 2010
A SEMI-PROFESSIONAL footballer has been spared a jail sentence for a road rage attack.
Adam Bailey-Dennis broke Ashley Lawrences cheekbone after a row over being cut up on Westway in Colchester.
Bailey-Dennis, who admitted causing actual bodily harm at an earlier hearing, was handed a three-month driving ban and jailed for six months, suspended for two years.
He was also told to pay his victim £1,000 compensation.
Its in his past, he has put it behind him. Moved on to better things, like starring in Avatar and fouling strikers all game and falling over and screaming.

When Jack got booked after their 9 was booked for a late barge... Jack was pushed 2 handed in the chest TWICE right in front of the ref and 2 yards away and he never booked the braintree player. If hes booked Jack for argie bargy, then let the Braintree player shove Parky twice in front of him , how is that fair or good refereeing. How Daisy was booked i will never know, the ref pointed at a spot where one of Braintrees players dived leading up to the first goal as if to say for a foul there, it wasnt even a foul, it was an oscar attempt.
Then when 4 trips Loui as he is surging towards their goal he never gave him the second booking. He let Braintree go over the top and hold or foul our players then booked or penalised us for nothing challenges where braintree threw themselves to the ground with a squeal. This unsettles us and lets Braintree play their style, almost helped by the ref.
Shocking, weak and inept referee Darren Blunden, ruined the game and paved the way for Braintree to do what they wanted in stopping and fouling Welling, then Booking Welling players for nothing and not booking Braintree for nasty fouls and dives only made it easier for the away team.
Ref you owe me £12 for spoiling the game. I will ask for it from you when you next referee Welling, thank you.

Earlier in the season Anthony Achempong conceded a penalty and was yellow carded despite the fact that the player still had Daysie to get past. The ref told me it was a yellow card because it prevented a goal scoring opportunity. I argued that the award of a penalty actually presented a goal scoring oportunity but he advised me that he had acted in accordance with the guidelines set.
With that in mind, the cynical foul (he knew he was a foot outside the penalty area) stopped Loui getting a shot in thus denying him a goalscoring opportunity. He was not the last man so a straight red would have been harsh but it was a stonewall yellow card offence either for prevention or for the cynical manner. A friend of mine came to his first game ever at PVR and agreed that it was as blatant as could possibly be.
Some further observations about the delightful Mr Bailey Dennis.
Look at their second and third goals on the video. he doesn't run up to celebrate but on both occasions to have a "chat" with the referee. What is all the about....??
Also, cast your minds back to the Thurrock game, both Parkinson and Fazakerley got booked for the same type of cynical foul and both incidents took place nearer to the halfway line than the penalty area!
Some may give the no.4 the benefit of doubt if he tried to go for the ball, but he went for Fazakerley and got him!
