This was posted on September 18th by Welling on the Official Site

"We wish to confirm that the embargo placed upon the Club remains in force at the present time as a result of the Football Conference taking the view that the Club do not have an acceptable agreement in place with the HMRC in respect of the monies due (notwithstanding the adjournment of the winding up petition which the HMRC did not oppose, and their acceptance of the part payment of arrears together with all current tax and VAT being paid up to date)."

Bearing in mind the club have said theyve paid up this year in full and have a payment plan in place with HMRC... AND the Conference had a meeting on Wednesday. Can anybody please tell me, A) has the embargo been lifted or B) Have the conference made up another rule?

Perhaps the Manager will be able to clarify the position this evening, then again, perhaps not.

The fact that we were able to name Leon Farrell as a substitute at Dartford makes things no clearer!!

I thought that maybe because either Obersteller or Healy injuries meant one would be out for a while, Given Jack was jogging around princes park, i then assumed that would be Healy de registered to allow Leon to sign, then when Joe is fit again re register him?

Can't see the Healy being deregistered as his 3 match suspension started last Saturday. If we deregistered him he would presumably have to serve the 3 match suspension when he was re-registered.

If we had to deregister I would think Jack Oberstellar would have been the best choice but maybe we had a special dispensation to ensure that we could field 11 players for the Bromley game.

We were given special dispensation for Bromley but we had 11 fit players at dartford so I'm not sure that applied this time around.

The Club is pleased to confirm that it has reached a formal agreement with HMRC to bring its affairs fully up to date and therefore it will now be approaching the Football Conference to have its transfer embargo lifted.

note the quote from last statement 9/2/2010  released from the club, if the club have approached the league, re lifting the embargo, they probably will have to wait for the next  league commitee meeting  to have it ratifyed or refused.

It could also be the Conference monthly meeting following the quarterly submission of financial information under the Conference Financial Stability rules. I think the quarter end for this return might be 31st January but at that point the agreement with HMRC had not been concluded. It will be interesting to find out how much the Manager knows about the embargo situation.
As Healy completes his suspension tomorrow there is no point doing anything before then.

Jamie said in the press he read that after 85 minutes the result stands... it should do, lets hope it does but knowing the conference they will give the win to bromley.

Did anyone manage to talk to one of the Hobbins' about the embargo at today's match?
