It was a really enjoyable night, and thanks for all the hard work Pat & Sy did in organising the event. It is not easy putting on fund raising nights, especially finding sponsors etc in these very hard times and if we are to move forward as a club and become financially stronger, then we must all try and support these occasions, as each event is just another stepping stone towards achieving this aim.
Anyone can post ideas on ways of fundraising on websites and wait for others to do it, but success only comes to those who are prepared to give their time up and work at it, and more importantly, attend the events where possible.
We have a very strong band of good supporters within our club, with a number of supporters who work tirelessly giving their time up in organising the Club Shop, Raffles, the 49 Club, selling Programmes, Turnstile operators, stewarding, running the Bottle Bar, Quiz nights, etc. I understand that with family and work commitments not everyone is fortunate enough to be in the position to give their spare time up so easily, having said that, it would be so nice to see a few more support these events in the future.
This is not meant to be a dig at anyone, but if we are to succeed in moving this club forward, then please support any event you can in the future, as it is so important to our survival. Cheers.
There should be an online form to join the supporters association and an online payment (paypal etc). The WUSA had attracted 50 odd in a number of days and at the last meeting Matt said they had 62. Having an online way of joining (even if they sent the form and a cheque) would allow people to join such as exiles or those who work a lot of Saturdays. At £10 a time its a money raiser too.
As a club and supporters we do not use the benefits of online spending or make it easy for people.

I totally agree with JGFC here as it would help the functions, events etc. Is there a chance something like a paypal could be set up on this forum, Somewhere like the Forum Home page which has the WUSA, Fantasy Wings bits etc and set up one for events combining the event with a paypal on it. As I do not know how that works, would this be possible?
If a domain was bought, say WUFF.CO.UK i could host it on my server and there could be pages on there for announcements etc or sections.
You would have to ask Bruno if thats what he would go for. Myself i think that WUSA could take over the WSU site transfer the files to a WUSA domain and then have the documents on there and payment options, the fact its taken so long concerns me as it should have been one of the first things done to allow numbers to grow quickly.
Sy anyone can set up a paypal account or use one they currently use for ebay by logging in and adding a secondary email account for WUSA.

As i couldnt make the night I would like to thank Dogkilla, Bubbles and Chelwing for looking after my raffle money. No doubt they will be giving me the relevant raffle prizes on Saturday
i have been a Wings supporter for 25 years, but live over in Northern Ireland now. I have helped out where i could, i would join a supporters association and happy pay a fee and i am sure there would be more.
