I was under the impression that the lights have been fixed at the end of last week but too late to revert to a 3pm kick off. No idea why we would play on a Wednesday rather than the normal Tuesday.
I suppose I should ring the club to find out.........
Club being pro active in trying to avoid games on TV, They also asked Ebbsfleet to move the game to a wednesday when we play them. Ebbsfleet refused saying their training schedule would be messed about.... just put that in the memory bank when they ask for help. Not sure if it was Daish or the club but sounds more like Daish unfortunately.

The abandoned Welling United and Bromley match at Park View Road in February has been rescheduled for Wednesday 2nd March 2011, kick-off 7:45PM. It has been confirmed that it will be a shared gate for the evening.
As a gesture of goodwill ticket prices for the match will be reduced:
£5 - Adults & Concessions £1 - Under 12's when accompanied by a paying Adult
Surprised that Bromley agreed to play Wednesday as they are due to play Havant and Eastleigh (both away) on the following Saturday and Monday respectively!
Also right to drop the admission prices. Hopefully we will promote this fact and those who came to the first game (and a few more who didn't) will all return to PVR next Wednesday.
Just hope we can repeat the "result" from the first game....
As it's shared gate I feel that in fairness season tickets for both clubs should be accepted. Charlton nearly doubled their average gate with their £5 offer last week. It would be great if Welling could do the same but it needs to be well advertised including by Bromley.
Hang on Why the **** should some season ticket holder from bromley get in, when hes probably not gone to the abandonded game and when i and others have paid £11 to see the game. The game is at Welling, Under no circumstances should a bromley season ticket holder get in for free. Thats quality that is, i end up paying £16 to see a game and you want to let a bromley season ticket holder get in for nothing PMSL.
Deffo need to promote this, get it mentioned on radio, in local press etc etc, also its in bromleys interest to promote it if they are getting half the gate less expenses.

Pleased it's a reduced amount, & very pleased it's £5, not form the financial sense as much as the principle of it. Fair play to Welling for that, as I guess after expenses, neither club will get much from it. But then you could argue that neither club should get more than covering costs/wages & neither set of fans should be screwed over either, so £5 is spot on & hopefully will ensure at least as many come to this as the last game. Charging nearly full whack would only create suspicion whereas this seems a very sensible option.
I'm not a Bromley season ticket holder but I can't see why if I was, I should be allowed in for free. We got nearly 90mins of entertainment (well you did, we only got about 5 secs entertainment thanks to McBean's sublime finish, until the lights gave us something else to lift our spirits) & why should someone who may not have even travelled last time, get in for free this time
I don't think season ticket holders have been mentioned, and can't see bromley season ticket holders getting in for free, that makes no sense at all. I suspect Welling season ticket holders will get free entry-if that's the case i'd suggest a donation bucket next to that turnstile as i'm sure others, like myself, feel they got a match from the first game.
Oh **** it, if i have to pay even though I'm a season ticket holder, i'll pay as it is only £5, but it would be nice for the club to say something on the official site one way or the other, about whether season ticket holders have to pay to get in or not.
When I bought my season ticket I was told it would cover all league matches and friendlies. This being a league match I expect to get in without paying any extra.
Its no wonder non league clubs find it difficult to attrract fans through the turnstiles the night we are playing Bromley there is 4 live matches on tv. Man City v Villa (itv), Arsenal v Orient (espn), Rangers v Celtic (sky) and i think sky are also showing a Barcelona match. With all these games going on hopefully the reduced prices will still bring in a reasonable crowd.

I do tend to agree with Alan here but dont know quite where to draw the line. The supporters have done a lot this year and it could be argued that season ticket holders should get in as it is a league game. In terms of goodwill perhaps that could be extended to the 42(41) lenders. I would think a good majority of these are season ticket holders.
I am sure there are also others whom fall into neither camp but are still loyal supporters. I guess at the end of the day its going to be a fiver for the night as its a shared gate although Bromley I assume being ina abetter financial state than us wouldnt mind donating their share
So say a season ticket holders paid £170 but someone whos seen all league games and trophy game and 3 friendlies will pay £270+ ... Add into that that they may have paid £11 for last bromley game but they pay again???
I would personally let in season ticket holders for Welling and make all pay full wack other than that and im not a season ticket holder.

However, Luton refused to follow a similar ruling by the Conference in the case of the replayed League match with York City. I don't know whether there were any repercussions.
If the Conference have told Welling that season ticket holders must pay, I hope that the club don't defy the ruling and let us in free. Whatever has happened in the Luton case, I'm sure the Conference wouldn't hesitate in hitting us with a fine or, worse still, a points deduction.

If the game was on the Tuesday, we would have to compete against Charlton v. Carlise plus Chelsea v. Man Utd (on tv). I think both games will affect the attendance more than the games on the Wednesday!
I dont think its the wrong night for the game, the point i was trying to make is the amount of football on tv now is making it very hard for small clubs to attract new fans to come and watch them. The fact that there is five live matches being shown over two nights means a lot of casual fans dont have to leave their armchairs.
It's not just live football matches being shown that may affect the 'gate'.
Does the club not realise that the beard & moustache championships are being televised live from Norway and that the finals of the simming obstacle race is being shown too.

Why does the club not do its homework.
Decisions..Decisions... What shall I do?
Trigger you have just upset me. I don't go to Norway till next Saturday so I am going to miss that live in Oslo. Cannot watch on television as its just not he same
