Who writes this crap?? If we are going to have an official site get someone who has a grasp of the English language to do the reports. Paul Carter for example. The Hayes report defies belief,
Take a peek at this!
Pennock made no changes to the side that defeated Eastleigh 3-1 last weekend but Matt Carruthers was back in the squad. The resulting game last year ended in a 1-1 draw, with Wings player Lee Spiller dismissed, and it was very nearly history repeating itself at Park View Road again this season.
Why did Spiller get sent off against Hayes again?? Did Welling Draw 1-1??
An hour into the game and the Wings to were struck a blow. A quickly taken free-kick by Jamie Day warranted a second yellow card in the eyes of Mr Hooper after Day was instructed not to.
It does get worse, the Welling History is cut and pasted from an out of date website! The History report was written before our first season in the Conference South. The bit about the Infrastructure and building was also cut and pasted from another site.
The video highlights, had 3 minutes of nothing on it.. the warm up! The Referee booking Day was missed too.
Sorry but the Official site is no better than last years. If the guy is not good at writing, cant spell and only cut and pastes then it doesnt look very good. Whats all this about him being paid to do it too? from first impressions it very poor and nothing new and created by the Webmaster, its just rehashed cut and pasted and stolen stuff.
I personally think that James has done a good job on the new official website. The club history is the same wording that is in the away teams programmes when we are visiters to their grounds, the squads profile section is new and up to date, as is most of the other sections. It is good to have an official site again, keep up the good work James.
I have to say it is a bit basic, for someone who is being paid to do it, plus of course he sells his dvds via the official site too. Schoolboy editorial, grammar gaffe's and old news. We shallsee over time though.
