Still nil nil. Looks like another poor ref.

We should have had a penalty after Pugh was shoved over in the box. Ref must've been the only person in the ground who didn't think it was a penalty.

One nil to Dorchester. Free header.
Our marking from set pieces and throw ins has not been good today.

Dorchester nearly just got another one - another free header that they somehow put over the bar.
None of our players are playing particularly badly, and we have been the better team for most of the half so far, but there have been periods when we've been overrun in midfield and static at the back.
Jamie needs to change something at half time.

Day on as sub for Clarke. Good, we need someone to put their foot on the ball and pass it, instead of all this hoofing we've been doing.

Oh dear, free kick to Dorchester (thought it was a penalty at first) . Foul by Whitehouse, but it didn't look like the keeper really touched the Dorchester player.

Two nil. Whitehouse saved the free kick but couldn't hold it. Defence static again and Dorchester scored from rebound.
This is like the Ebbsfleet match all over again.

After that initial excitement following the goal we've gone all flat again.

Another penalty shout after Pires tripped in the box. If that had been anywhere else on the pitch the ref would have given it.
We've not been at our best today, but do deserve at least a point out of this. I just hope the poor ref doesn't cost us that.

This ref is awful. Pires just got flattened by Vickers (again) and the ref didn't even give a free kick. Usually refs in our league are poor for both teams, but this one seems to be giving far too much Dorchester's way.

Bellamy on for Fazakerley, who has gone off injured.
Dorchester are thugs. Ref is watching a different match from the rest of us.

Final score two one to Dorchester. We deserved more out of that, but the ref had other ideas.

The only thing the ref got right all match was the amount of injury time added on at the end of each half.

Their number 4 and some other player showed a complete lack of class taunting the Welling fans at the road end after the match, then the same two players started on fans near the Exec lounge where families sit. Those players were asking for it.

Dorchester were a disgrace and a bunch of thugs as has previously been stated. We lost simply because we wanted to play football the way it is supposed to be played. Had we kicked their players all over the pitch, we would have got away with most of it and probably would have won. I don't want to ever see Welling resort to those sorts of tactics though!

The elderly Eddie Munster lookalike masquerading as a referee today didn't have a clue what he was doing but is a perfect example of how bad referees are at this level.

Annoying thing is that all the teams around us won too. This loss has put more pressure on the BIG games that are coming up!

And we are in this position now because the referee ****ed us! Kevin didn't half look pissed off at the end :O Interesting exchange of hand gestures with the afore mentioned yobbo Dorchester players.

What do you expect from a club who have four players banned from 14 Dorchester pubs and had three sent off on Tuesday. Their player manager was involved in both so what discipline can he impose.

A strong Chairman would come down hard but maybe he is a thug as well.

Incidently, it was 2, 5 and 6 I saw inciting opposition supporters at the end but I would not be surprised if 4 was involved as well.

He should have sent Whitehouse off though, and could have disallowed Pires' goal for climbing.

Not a fantastic performance this afternoon. Should have had a penalty and I thought Louis should have scored when he was through on goal. Mr Clarke coming off for Daisy, what was that about, but the temo did lift when he came on. Not sure about Anthony getting the player of the month, thought Clarkey could have been in with a shout. Looks like Mr Andrews has a groin strain.

The number 5 along with Vickers were the main culprits goading the fans at the final whistle. They should have been up the other end of the park with their own fans who made a 4 hour journey.

In fact I had a 'chat' with the number 5 in the bar after and he said why should he take it all game and not give it back. Fair enough maybe but being a semi-pro footballer I said he should rise above it.

I've no real issue with the result - we were well out of sorts for the 90. Pires made loads of headers that he's never had to do before because (like Braintree) we matched their long ball and never played on the deck.

Let's get it right and play how we can.

we were awful first half still had a golden chance with faz. ref too busy posing to stop vickers fouling non stop ref not up to this standard. clarkey was injured but to leave one of the best center midfielders in the league on the bench is hurting us. better second half and a draw would have been fair. the team will bounce back on saturday.

Shouldn't the ref be acting on that?

This was a reply to Mr Gary H.

I actually agree with this in principle, if and only if he said things back DURING the game. This would be banter, a bit on the offensive side but still banter, the sort of thing that goes on in every single game at all levels. What he did though was wait till the game had finished and they had won, walk towards the Welling fans behind the goal with his boyfriend and make obscene gestures then hurl lots of insults at them. I can think of several grounds where if those players had acted the way they did today, there would have been a pitch invasion.

Dorchester are now another team i want to see relegated. Maidenhead are another.

That's another reason players should be more respectful. The action of just one player can lead to reactions of many fans.

For their manager to do the same is crazy.

The ref wasnt fantastic but I have to say he was above what has been a poor standard this season. Certainly not the worst seen at PVR.

We were just poor today, tried the same thing time and again and it didnt work. Agreed it makes it tougher now as we must take points from some of the bigger teams around us, still the management team will have the boys fired up for it thats for sure.

The boys looked disappointed as they walked off the pitch, Sammy in particular looked absolutley gutted

It is strange how we all see things differently. I thought the referee got many big decisions wrong.

We should have had a penalty when Vickers went through Pugh.
Coward should have been yellow carded for handball outside the area. He knew his momentum would take him outside the area but did not release the ball.
If Whitehouse fouled Flood, he should have been sent off and not yellow carded.

He was equally poor for both sides and it does not detract from the fact that Welling were sluggish at the start and lack-lustre at best until scoring.

Hopefully, this will be a one off and the team will raise their game against the other play-off contenders in the next few weeks. They are capable of beating all these teams and I am still confident of a play-off place.

We got what we deserved out of the game yesterday, but the Dorchester players were pretty stupid to goad the crowd though, like the Bath keeper last year. Sooner or later someone will end up going onto the pitch and Welling will be in trouble for not controlling the crowd. Players need to take responsibility, even if the crowd have been winding them up.
