I agree that the ref was rubbish but I don't think he was biased. Our goal was a clear push from Pires and shouldn't have been allowed - the free kick that led to the disallowed goal should have gone to them as well. I didn't think we were up for from the start today. I am sure the team will look at themselves and put it right next week. Blaming the ref doesn't help - it implies that if the ref was alright we would have won, when the reality was we didn't perform as well as we can. Don't want to start behaving like Mr Wegner.

I have seen far worse bunch of thugs at Welling than this lot.

we never turned up 1st half. parky has done well this season. but i think him with acheampong would be our best bet. id start with daisy in midfield and if we doing well and winning then play sammy there as a sub if daisy wants to look at them. hes come on when we needed snookers lately. fact is we are better when the gaffer starts. So being on the bench for 4 or 5 games weakens us and we only get going when he comes on or gets at them at half time. ref was poor but we lost the game by being slow to start going long and missing chances and gifting them two goals on a plate. this team shows it bounces back. a win at eastleigh and thats one team we push back and stay in the play offs. coylie shouted believe in it so they just need to get focused and see they are in a play off spot because its been earned over months. now kick on.

I wonder if any Welling fans report The dorchester players inciting at the end of the game?, just seen it on James' video.

Banned from pubs, sent off v welling for an assault and now inciting aggro after a win. Charming lad, full of class.

What they dont reaslise is they are now gonna get so much verbal that could lead to something unsavoury. I think the league should nip it in the bud now and charge them.

What was going on with the pitch though! Was like a beach in some places! Gutted about the loss, that 2nd goal just wouldn't come!

Sorry JGFC I have to disagree with you. I do think that when fans give players a bit of stick throughtout the game then they have to be prepared to take a bit back. Happens all the time in the Premiership - you can have 40,000 people giving a player stick all game but if they show any reaction then people start saying report them to the FA, Police etc.

I think this is part of the rich tapestry of football. If you can't take then don't give it out.

The players simply cant do what they did. Paul Hyde one turned round and mouthed and gestured to come on then. Take into account 2 of those players actions this season and i think they need a talking too. Someone will go over the boards and have a toe to toe.

The operative word here is 'throughout', not 'after'. If their players had responded to the crowd with the occasional '**** off' or whatever comment was deemed apropriate at the time then no problem at all. What some of their players did though was walk over to our fans at the road end, make inciting hand gestures, hurl abuse at the crowd when they should have been celebrating a win with their own fans, then they were trying to make out they wanted a fight with Welling fans. That is not 'banter'.

Him putting his hand over his mouth after saying OOPS didnt not excuse him.

The video shows some gestering and ironic applause - I am not sure about making out they wanted a fight.

The behaviour in the bar is totaly unacceptable and very different to what happened on the pitch imo

Thats fine, if you want to go that route and they can stand there saying come on then.. fans can hop over the barrier and knock them out.

They are paid to play and should not incite paying fans.

I seriously wanted to smash paul hydes face in one night he was on the pitch giving 1 finger on both hands bouncing up and down beckoning fans on to the pitch to come on then... If it had been away from home and not PVR he would have got his wish.

In general I'm with you on this but he certainly seemed to be giving Vickers the sympathy vote - Mr Greencoat's photos clearly show him treating Pugh like Borat while the ref turned a blind eye.

Blaming the ref doesn't help - it implies that if the ref was alright we would have won, when the reality was we didn't perform as well as we can. Don't want to start behaving like Mr Wegner.

Were you wearing Mr Wenger's specs when you typed that?

The ref got a lot wrong all over the pitch but in the areas where it really matters the aforementioned foul by Vickers on Pugh was a clear penalty and Pires was climbing all over their 5 for our goal but the biggest mistakes were in the run-up to their second goal. It wasn't a foul (check the reaction from behind the goal) but having given the free kick a red card was the only option.

Agreed. It's unfair to tar the rest of them with the same brush as Bowles, Walker and Vickers and, let's face it, we knew what they'd be like before kick-off.

In fact I had a 'chat' with the number 5 in the bar after and he said why should he take it all game and not give it back. Fair enough maybe but being a semi-pro footballer I said he should rise above it.

He needs to stop living in Cloudcuckooland - does he think we just picked his number out of a hat before the game and said "let's slag 5 off for 90 minutes?" At any football match players get targetted by the crowd for a reason - generally the way they are playing or behaving - and it was no different on Saturday. Contrary to his assertion that he "took it all game" he spent the entire second half dishing it out to the 12-year old linesman.

As for their actions on the final whistle, it just shows the type of people they are. If I were a Dorch fan I'd be livid that, having spent all that time and money following my team to an unexpected away win, the players would rather goad the home fans than celebrate the victory with their own and thank me for my support. The manager should have been dragging them away and pointing them in the direction of their own fans, not joining in.
