Conference South forum seems to think we have or about to sign Ben Martin from St Albans.
Good news in that its a potential signing in the first for a long time but he apparantly is a centre back which I would have thought we have enough cover for even assuming we are pushing Jack Parkinson into midfield
Mmmmm.................Rumours of new players coming on board.............I know the embargo has been lifted but not sure how this will be financed unless players going out??
Martin seems to have a good reputation although injury prone according to both Chelmsford and Stalebuns supporters. Also not withstanding the fact that our best centre half is actually playing in midfield..............
Graeme lost his form since injury and now injured again. Also agree that Parkinson at the back is his best position. We havent been that good in midfield since the gaffer left himself out.
Martin gets to show if he has any pace left and can stay fit for the rest of the season.
Jamie has to juggle things around with Andrews injured and Healy away on work duties in Oz. Trying to get Darren Marsden or Cracknell in would have been my thinking and sticking the captain back next to Acheampong.

I can only assume from the fact a centre half has come in that Daysy's thinking is to keep Parky in midfield ... and therefore keep himself on the bench. Not a great idea in my view. I dont think we can afford to have Day sitting on the bench viewing the team as a manager, we need him on the field.
Any idea whether you've signed Ryan Dolby from Bromley? He's one of a few of our players to go missing recently, not sure if Hayden Bird is disposing of the bodies somewhere or quite what's happening, but a post on our forum by someone who appeared to be a Welling fan suggested he has gone to you.

I certainly heard on Saturday that he was with us. Is it good news? Will you miss him?
I honestly don't know! When we had that amazing run at the start of the season, he was the only player I would have replaced if I was looking to push on further with quality BSS level players. But once we settled down to our mid table level of performances & wondering whether certain players gave a monkeys about the performances, he's someone you know you can rely on to give 100%. I'd suggest he's a useful squad player at BSS rather than 1st choice for stronger sides, which if you're a bit low on numbers might be just what you need as cover as he can play left back & left midfield. maybe his crossing lets him down, but he's useful cover when Dunk goes on one of his runs, as you saw the other week in the 2nd league game which was about the only area we threatened all game.
I'd still rather keep him as can't imagine he was a high earner & seemed a committed team player, but maybe we're going to sign Faz back to replace him!
if this link works, have a look at the Thurrock v Bromley video to see what he can do http://www.bromleyfc.tv/season1011/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=887:bfctv-thurrock-a&catid=42:news&Itemid=200

I would assume that if we are signing him we would have had to put in a seven day notice last week meaning he could not play for us on Saturday whilst Bird might not have wanted to use someone who was due to leave.
He's from the Dartford Academy. Not sure whether Dartford have loaned him to us, or whether he's signed for us. Either way, looks like we've picked up another good young player. He's a midfielder, too, which is just what we need at the moment.
I believe there would have been confirmation had the transfers gone through therefore all is not yet 'done and dusted;.
Three players got injured last Saturday and I assume Joe Healy has gone on his business trip. Ever there have not been some recoveries or signings we could be very threadbare at Eastleigh.
St Albans released news that Martin was signing for us and i was told (wrongly and not by the Owners) that the lad from Dartford had signed, i believe he was in welling training kit last week v Dorchester. Would appear ive been googlied..
