After returning from the game last night I was reflecting how this season has been one of no problems for our squad and mangement.

There have been a few minor irritations of course but this is how the squad and management have reacted:-

5 Point Deduction  "No problem.  We'll make that up in the next couple of games"

Player Embargo  "No problem.  We'll just play players out of position to cover suspensions and injuries"

Players' Payment Arrears  "No problem.  We'll carry on regardless until the financial situation improves"

Floodlight Failure 3 Minutes From End Of Game  "No problem.  We'll just go out and win the game again"

Penalty Given Against Us For Non-Existent Handball  "No problem.  We'll wipe that out within five minutes"

So, as I said, a season of no problems for the players and management.  So what are the prospects for the rest of the season?  Who knows?  Six games to go including two against the teams vying for automatic promotion, followed hopefully by three games against two other very good sides.  All I hope is that nothing unforeseen happens.  We really don't know whether these players and management team would be able to cope do we?

Or you could think if anything did happen the players would overcome it like theyve overcome everything else. I would back them to.

Consider this from Chelmo manager...

Theyve been in terrible form not just one game ... and the excuses are flowing.

"But we don't suddenly become a bad team over night and everyone has to appreciate the crippling injuries. I'm having to ask inexperienced youngsters to do a man's job and that's a tall order at this level of the game."

I'm having to ask wingers who cannot stand up and goalkeepers who are more concerned about what's going on behind them to do a footballer's job and that's a tall order at this level of the game."

Each set back has been looked at for what they have been, ie minor set backs during a football season.

To my mind this reflects on Jamie Day, his strength of character, and leadership.

There may be trouble a head but while theres moonlight and music and love and romance.

You know the rest.

Could be a good tune to play at the end of season bash. What a great night that will be

We are definately on our way, I know its a way off,but surly we should have confidance now.

Aint no stoppin us now.aww

The BBC can send Radio Kent down at 7.45 if they like but Welling will be out celebrating another 3 points on the board by then as the game kicks off at 3pm.

My dear Bruno I have always thought of you as a sensible sort of chappie but you must be under some strange influences if you think The BBC would send Radio Kent to a Welling match. smile

So it seems the game we'll be in the afternoon.

Congratalations with the three points against second place Farnbourough.
