After Mr Muge's bookfest at the weekend there was some specualtion that we would have some suspensions on the horizon apart from Acheampong who will miss the Stalebuns game after his red card.
Anyone know any more info and/or where they publish the suspensions list??
The suspensions are shown on the FA site under "Disciplinary".
The only Welling player on there at the moment is Sam Noller (Academy player perhaps?) so not updated yet to take Saturday's games into account.
Apart from Anthony, I have a feeling that Jamie Day's booking may have been his 15th. If so I think that may be a 2 match ban. AA should just be out for one game.
Jamie has picked up a huge amount of bookings, how much is a fine for a player getting booked these days? I bet he has spent a fair few quid of his well earned wags in fines.

I know its a cliche but Jamies way of playing means he will pick up bookings, it makes him the player we love to watch. He would not be as effective if he was thinking of avoiding bookings during a match. Take away his tackling and ball winning and you have half a player. It must be hard for him to ask his players to be mindful of bookings and then set the example he does.
This could be a factor as we close in on the play-offs. I hope as games are in progress Barry and Dean give out good advice to those vulnerable. I cant imagine a player being told not to get booked before a game in the changing room. But during a game the right words at the right time can keep a player on the pitch. Jack as captain has to play a part here. I feel sure we will see him display tact and maturity for these final vital games.
Can you imagine Jack telling Daisy to take it easy. Interesting!!!!!:).
Yes the captain should play a part but he is one of the worst for backchat. On Saturday our keeper had the ball with little time left and Parky got pulled up for backchat which led to a booking and a free kick from which they nearly scored at the death.....
Fully agree that we don't want a team of shrinkng violets. However we know refs at this level give far more cards for backchat than they do for dodgy tackles so some of ours have to be very careful.
Have read that we have a siege mentality, lets see Frosty and Ashby include the refs in this. Our dissent is bad, i have no problems with us getting carded for clattering the oppo, lord knows weve have enough players hacked down by oppo. Dissent purely to the ref and getting booked has happened too often. Let them go to a teammate and trap off rather than the ref (their closest team mate on the pitch). The refs arent going to change their mind and thats the case even if Ashby goes and sees them. So just get Jack to go and see the refs at half time with all the complaints.

All part of the learning process for young Jack. Unfortunatly I was unable to be at Woking saturday, but looking at the highlights we got no change from the ref on numerous incidents. I know Im biased but what I see is Welling players appealing for a correct decision and restraint when the ref made dubious calls.
We see some people say we should play the officials more to try an influence them as much as possible. We cant have it both ways.
We all know adrenaline runs high during the action, its the nature of the game.
We need the best officials for these remaining games and our players to be at there best. If that means being a bit gobby then as far as Im concerned so be it.
Just a minute, thats it, let all the players go out and give all theyve got ,what ever that might be, to get the result we all want.
