Farnborough have one, not only is it an earner for them, but it gets the message out to the local community thats there is a football ground and club there. We might be able to get the council involved. 3 days is a bit much but 2 days Sat and Sunday looks a go-er to me. As for the music at the Danson Festival being a rival, its not teh music recently at the festival has been complete pony.

Sounds like a good idea and money maker. With the close proximity of the local residents, would they have a right to challenge Welling / Bexley Council regarding noise levels? I have never been to Farnboroughs ground, so don't know the layout.
As for their acts, the only one to stand out for me is Ex Simple Minds.
Now if only we could get Ozzy, Purple etc to headline, that would be good
How much do I NOT want to go to that! That Sunday is my idea of Hell.
I think, with Danson in existence, it wouldn't happen. Cracking idea JgFc, I'd be up for it, but I echo Cynical's statement about the residents challenging this (if it were to happen). The council also back Danson and put the bulk of their support behind it. However, it's worth an ask, considering that I know a lot of people will be scratching around up in the Civic Offices, looking for things to do...
I seem to recall PVR hosting a summer concert back in the mid 80s, so I can't see why there'd be any problem. Would take a fair bit of organising, though.

Luckily we are not all alike as if I were to go I would only want the Sunday.
Regarding residents - planning laws are very complex and they would have a fair ammount of clout due to the proximity of the ground to residential area. When CAFC have held events at the valley they have been monitored by the council. I think its a great idea though as long as it does not interfere with the pitch re-growth for the following season.
The people that live in the flats opposite the ground would have a nerve complaining about anything at the club, seeing as they have a virtual season ticket and can watch matches for free each year including pre season friendlies!
