Just watched it back where day and the oompaloompa squared up. Ben Martin was enraged by something and loick shared his water with their number 7.
King was having a right go at the lino after the game, can only be he thinks it was offside. How he could see that from the other half and 3 feet off the ground i have no idea.

Also the acheampong incident the 11 APPEARS to have attemped to connect with acheampong with his right hand, then he seems to have clawed his face. Definite red card, thats 2 the ref should have given having decided the keeper picking the ball up outside the box under pressure is a yellow..

Got some but not much of the King incident so feel free to shame the "little one", have included what I have when highlights are up.

Got the Anthony Achemapong injury, Dale Binns clearly rakes his face and eyes, definitely intent there.

Well done once again to the boys who overcame some nasty tactics, but thats Steve Kings sides.

Thought the referee was poor and gave us little protection.

King couldn't have known whether it was offside or not from where he was, and nor could I, but spoke to my brother in law who sat inline with it and said Pugh was definitely onside.

Think two wins form four will do it now, but we can't be complacent next week and MUST finally nail Thurrock in a home match.

See Eastleigh picked up three easy points today, but can;t see them getting anything from Ebbsfleet next week and don't think they will make it.

Atmosphere was terrific today especially when we scored. Keep your eyes on the prize

Fantastic result today, the important thing was we didnt lose. Clarkey had a great game today, the rest of the team all pulled together. Daisey seemed to play deeper and won a great few headers

Felt Farnboro had many chances but very poor on finishing. Hopefully we will meet again somewhere in the playoffs

Farnborough - what a load of muppets! .....

Number 2 mouthing the ref from the whistle and running 50 yards to have a pop at the lino about pugh's goal - it was well onside.

Goalkeeper blatant handball outside the box denying goalscoring chance - only a yellow

Number 11 'doing something' - soon as he ran away from Anthony. I said to a mate 'he's done something there'. Hopefully video will prove it.

King - Hopefully video will prove it.

Great result today, didn't think that was the best we've played this season but important to get results even when your not at your best. Didnt think the ref was amazing but still he wasnt the worst we've had this season. Pires again looking better. Clarky put in another good shift. Pughie some amazing touches of the ball.

Couldn't agree more Gary and the Anthony video proves it - their goalkeeper and No. 11 should have been shown red cards.

Good overall team performance today and a deserved win.  Where did the ref find 5 minutes of extra time from. He gave us diddly squat today, but wanted to give the most bizarre decisions their way.

Men of the match for me were Stella and Pughie - both excellent.

Steve King was behaving like a pr*ck - berating the lino and ref for every little thing that didn't go their way. Mind you, he looks like a smaller version of Capello without the glasses, Orange skin and suede shoes - nuff said.

Finally, for those sitting in the old stand today  ----------  Oi  !!!!!!!!!   biggrin

Super result today. Not the best performance we'll see, but done a good job and and our tactics clearly stifled their play as they are the highest scorers in the league. Acheampong came off with his eyes streaming saying he couldn't see-after watching the video it's clear their 11 should have walked. Not sure about the handball for their keeper, I guess a yellow is the letter of the law.

I was right in line with the Pugh incident and when it happened I felt that he was well onside when the ball was played.  I'm pleased that the video evidence appears to confirm this.

I thought that apart from the bad foul on Anthony being missed, the officials had quite a good game with most decisions being right.  I think as the law stands, the yellow card for the keeper was right as there were defenders in a position to cover.

The Anthony incident aside I did not feel that Farnborough were particularly physical and  certainly aren't in the same class as Braintree in that respect.  Of the two, I would rather see Farnborough win the league despite the very annoying Mr. King.

Incidentally no one has mentioned Ben Martin's performance in the game yesterday.  I thought he was excellent particularly being his return from injury.  He looked very assured and cleared a couple of dangerous situations.  A great team performance once again.  Nine points now needed to guarantee the play offs which means we can even afford to lose to Braintree as long as the other games are won.

Got to agree with greendale about the officials. Nice to see the assistants use their flags for fouls not just offside and throw ins. Also noticed most of the time they stuck their flags up without looking at the ref first. Would not be unhappy to see all 3 back at PVR again.

Great win for the Wings the whole team putting in that extra bit of effort on all fronts, onwards and upwards! Easy to see why the Farnborough players are such prancing prima donnas with that prized **** in charge of them leading by poor example. I sincerely hope Farnborough don't go up by any means.

Or how about showing the Anthony incident to the police?  If someone stuck their fingers in another person's eyes anywhere apart from a sporting event (on the street, in a pub, etc.), they'd be charged with a battery.

What really annoyed me at the time is a swing (apparant Attempted Right hand as Acheampong is going to ground that was gutless) before the raking of his eyes and yanking back of his head. You can see on James's footage the ref is in shot so saw the lot, the lino also did nothing.

Heres the incident with a slow mo... No card is frankly awful No Wonder John Whitehouse was incensed.

One person on here has suggested footage of the incident be shown to the conference and another has mentioned the police, so is anyone that filmed yesterday's match going to show footage of the physical assault to the relevant people?

Anthony seemed "OK" after, i think sending to the league is a no no, and i think you only send to the old bill IF a player is seriously injured and HE wants to take action and asks for the footage of what he sees as an assault and i think thats completely unlikely and would only happen in really serious incidents.

We saw Welling get a deserved result in a hard fought match against opposition that has less talent.

They had to resort to physical unlawful tactics that included trying to intimidate the officials and it didnt work.

The goal was well taken and the pass was very intelligent. On-side all day.

So many interesting observations in the posts above and I agree with them all.

Over all once again so difficult to pick an individule. For me all our mid field players stuck to the task well and came through with honour. All our defenders measured up to all the opposition could offer.

And our front line worked hard for a good result towards promotion.

We can be proud of them all,to a man.

Excellent.

The foul on Anthony should have been punished by the ref, and imo the ref was leaning there way far to much. Lets hope he acts on the incidents that occured after the final whistle, and reveiws the foul on Anthony. I asume this can happen and punishment be metered acordingly.

The game was an exmple of what to expect in the play-offs.

I strongly believe Welling will be victorious.
