so a easy win in a pointless cup, croyden away in the next round, do we want to keep progressing or just fall out now?

personally i'd rather focus on the FA cup and the league but we'll see what Pennocks got in store for us...

Problem is if all the opposition are as poor as Belvedere tonight we will find it hard to get knocked out.

Adrian played seven non first X1 players, i think that shows what we felt about the match. Christ knows what the score would have been if we actually took it seriously and played the first team. How did Penfold look? it is a bit disconcerting that Bodkin and Penfold started and couldn't get on the scoresheet. If they cannot score against (No disrespect to the Deres) THAT level of opponent then they will not do it for us several leagues higher.

Still a win is a win and those rested will know there are guys on the bench and in the stand who want a piece of the action.

OMG Croydon away, can someone take the cricket scoreboard from next door with them?

Phil

Away to Croydon Athletic in the next round. If you are going to enter it then go for it and it seems we are. Even though it was a weakened team (through Pennock's choice) they did the business. Well done all.

Credit where credit's due. Although Welling rested as many first teamers as possible, they still tried their best and actually looked pretty good. For me Bodkin shone last night, as someone who has good control and isn't frightened of taking people on.

I wouldn't be concerned he didn't get on the score sheet as he was playing on the right wing, although penfold I'm not too sure about.
