Mark, its great for the competition even if they play their kids, Will be some of their fans going to games and probably one of them will host the final. I would like to pull out of the London Senior Cup, have we ever really tried in that?

I would suggest that County Cups hold very little interest to supporters of clubs at our level and above and with 42 league games plus the FA Cup and FA Trophy probably fall very low on clubs agendas.
Lets face it if Gillingham and Charlton were to field 11 from their first team squad then it would prove a payday for those drawn against them but unless they met in an earlier round probability says that they would meet in the final.
If the first couple of rounds were to be played pre-season when senior clubs visit lower league clubs as a matter of course they might generate more interest and cause less of a logistical problem for clubs during the winter months.
Why we enter both the London and Kent competitions beats me.

Good idea have 2 groups play each other once then a semi and final the next week. Still room for the glamour friendlies and then we dont need to ponce about or fit in fixtures and have more room to space league games out. 5 games and its done. then 4 or 4 games left for pre season games., you can still play trialists if you really dont care especially upto the final stages. The only problem is if you get stuffed then you will have a free week or so and have to squeeze in a friendly, probably against other teams that have got stuffed in their game.

I guess the problem about using it as pre-season warm up is that you could go out in the 1st Round and then your are scrambling around looking for some-one to play. Maybe if they did in groups with a semi and final it would work better.
Would you be allowed to be play trialist in the competition or would they all need to be registered?
Something to do with 'old borders'. We have in it in athletics too. Kent AC is actually based in Ladywell, Lewisham; Before they merged with Bromley, Blackheath AC were always at Kents Champs and the same county champs were moved from Ashford, it's home for years, to Crystal Palace one year. Such outrage this caused meant it swiftly returned to Ashford...
They have been invited back because they are affiliated to the Kent FA. I believe Millwall declined.
They are not in Kent but are affiliated.
Millwall are not even in Millwall.
I believe Charlton was probably in Kent once just like The Oval used to be in Surrey donkey's years ago
Your right Alan just like Welling used to be part of Kent not just a kentish postcode - after all Bexley council have put up lots of new signs indicating london Borough of Bexley.

Just drive down Shooters Hill and see the sign just after the garden centre. It says "WELCOME TO KENT"
Welling has always geographically been in Kent. It's only politically in Greater London. Something Sailor Ted introduced to try to win more seats on the LCC/GLC.
Just as a matter of interest, Bexleyheath is actually Bexley Heath. If you want proof just go to the sorting office in Bridge Road. That's how it's spelt on their sign.
