Ebbsfleet did us proud, how woking have survived that i have no idea on earth they made save after save and a few last ditch clearances. We owe ebbsfleet a lot of respect they tried their balls off for us and battered them to the end.

Great showing by the squad, 4-0 is a clear message of their ability....... it woulda been nice to crown the season's mishaps with Playoffs, but I don't think there's any reason for heads to drop.
The Club has come through it all thanks to awesome displays of loyalty and effort from the Team , the Team Management AND incredible Fans! I look forward to seeing what next season brings, more of the same and better is definitely within reach!!
Great effort by the boys over the season, nice win to cap it all off, shame about playoffs but we are still in business. Let's just hope we can keep hold of Daisy and the bulk of the lads. Good luck to Ebbsfleet in the playoffs!
Great game today and we all gave the team a nice round of applause at the end, which was well deserved! I can't wait for next season now, and hopefully most of our players will still be with us :)
Very proud of the lads this season, was still our best season in a long time, gutting not to make it into the playoffs but things went against us at the wrong time.
If we can keep Daisy and a bulk of the players, plus add a couple sure we can be pushing for the title next season!
It just goes to show how hard it is even at this level. The boys did such an outstanding job in the constant face of adversity, for which we are all immensely proud. I really hope they stick together and push for promotion next season. After some of the football we've seen this season, today being a perfect example, it's a travesty we're still in the blasted division.
Completely proud of the teams performance over the season and there will be a lot of if onlys.... I dont know whether at the moment to feel as though we have just missed out or avoided relegation which has been a familiar theme in the past
If Daisey can pull the core of the team together over the summer we have a great chance for next season.
Personally I would like to thank Chelwing, Bubbles. Dogkilla, Malcolm Ron, Fred and too many others who have psssed across the new stand with jolly wit and repartit ver the season.
I look forward to Bexley Cricket and the start of a new season-enjoy the summer all

Spot on rwfaz, After all the ups and downs of the season the team spirit at the presentation was upbeat and good humoured.
Well done and thanks to all who organised.
Jamies speech was full of praise for his team mates coaches, he also thanked the fans.
It was our pleasure Jamie. Its what we do on our Saturday sfternoons.
The feeling was the team will stick together and have another go next season.I cant wait.
Thats the thing , whatever happens we know they want to stay together and thats a huge lift. I cant see many teams that would be better than us next season. The experience this year will make them stronger, they now know they are more than good enough. Crowds have been up too so if we can only bring in a few quid commercially and keep it going then its possible without losing money. Theres the friendly money next season which wont all be swallowed up for a start. Just try and get a few friendlies at home v league sides and have 3 or 4 away days rather than 3 at home and 6 or 7 away. It will all add to the budget/costs and help.

To be honest i can't see any teams being better than us next season. When can we expect to start hearing about who is staying with us and contract extensions? It would be great if everyone did stay :)
They already talking about things so i would hope we hear something soon. I do know that we have offered retainers which will protect us in the case of the ones people will try and tap up by way of a tribunal fee.
I would hope that wouldnt happen as they all seem happy and a unit and know what they can achieve at Welling. Just shows all that bullsheet that gets banded about that hes going and hes talking to this club are just crap put out there to try and unsettle players.
Daisy was saying he has a meeting and that as far as hes concerned he wants to stay thats good enough for me and if we can make that happen the players will (mostly if not all) want to stay.

This season has been full of "highs and "lows" as we all appreciate, but having said that, missing out on the play offs is not as bad as some may be feeling. On the positive side this has been a really great season for our club and like many others this is my 33rd year following Welling United and it reminds me of the 80s and 90s where we had a very close bond of supporters and players, which helped bring success on the field of play.
We can all feel so proud of what our team has achieved, and being a young side who are still learning their skills, this squad has the ability to go further given the time and it is so important to them that as supporters we continue to support the events planned for the coming future, as this will help to reward the players for their efforts to entertain us all on match days, and help make our club stronger financially.
It was so pleasing to see the Players and Management team applaud the supporters at the Presentation Evening last night, well done to you all, and I would bet that this does not happen at many clubs.
I personally believe that one more year at this level of football will help to make us a much stronger side, fully prepared to move up to the next level where we belong.
Let us hope that this is the start of a bright and successful future for us all. COME ON YOU WINGS!!!!!
Well said Eric. Your comments match my thoughts exactly.
If the management team and squad remain basically unchanged next season I think there is every possibility that this side can win the league and hopefully with the involvement of many enthusiastic members of WUSA to assist with off the field activities the club would be better placed financially and administratively to compete in a national league in 2012/13.
Eric, I have to say that you put everything in a nutshell - well said and I agree with all that you and others have said. A terrific end of season match and a great result.
The whole team and management have done us proud and everyone involved should be applauded. The work effort from the Wings and support from the best supporters in the league are second to none.
As for the game, I feel numerous points to make. First off, our work rate - we played great football - on the ground for the majority of the game and that is our strength. It's difficult to pinpoint any one outstanding player, but for me, Stella was man of the match. Gave 100%, used his good football brain and scored a goal too - bonus. Secondly, the Basingstoke keeper stopped us from scoring even more goals - some good saves and deserves a mention. Thirdly, I thought that the officials were really good - doesn't it make a nice change at PVR - well done to them. Forthly, our supporters were top notch and really got behind the team, from start to finish. A credit to the league. Last, but not least, everyone that has helped make this season the best for a long while. To the 41/2 people that have invested their hard earned in the club and to Sy, Patsy, Bruno and various others for having the foresight to organise some great events to raise money for the club.
Heres to a good Summer and hopefully good news about the team all staying together for next season.
At least we won't have to play Thurrock again! I'm getting really fed up with them. Also glad we won't have to play the Braintree hoofers for another season at least as well.
