"I want to keep the players that we've got and be able to add to that." Does Jamie know something we don't?

Hes put his cards on the table and said he wants to take us up and keep this squad. Hardly a manager who is looking to jump ship. Unfinished business. Lets hope teh club can get going commercially and get some freindlies which i will say again WILL ALLOW us to have this squad.

Charlton, Millwall and another 3 at home from (West Ham, Gillingham, QPR, Spurs, Palace, Southend, Fulham etc etc even if 3 of them are X1s you will pull in 10k ish a gate. add to the big games and you have more money for the budget. Jamie and Ash could get another glamour friendly to help swell the coffers. Then the club needs to bring in money via sponsors, advertising boards etc.

You know the club arent going to magic a 20k sponsor before pre season so lets get a statement that we are playing 5 or 6 home friendlies to get some money in the kitty, its far and away the easiest way to put some money into the club for the budget, it at least gives us a start and gives the club time to sell the boards and get a sponsor, Crowds were up this season too, and if we kept a decent squad youd be hopeful they would next season.

ITS NOT A GAMBLE, if we have plenty of home friendlies. Its mad if we dont.

Is there any reason why all our friendlies can't be at home and against league clubs? Is there some sort of rule that says we have to play away games against clubs from lower divisions?

nope this season we should try and get as many as we can at home it would raise a huge amount of cash which would enable us to keep the budget and pay off some debts. No brainer.

Jamie will want some games to use as trials away from the pressure of having to entertain decent sized crowds.

Also, if we are getting in big opposition to help us out we cannot refuse to go to a couple of lower league Kent clubs to help them.

On top of that E&B&Q will want some home games. There was also talk of an Ashford Veterans playing Welling United veterans as a Stuart White Memorial at PVR but I don't know if anything will come of that.

You had to go and remind me that E&B existed didn't you :D

I would definitely go to a Welling Veterans game as long as it's at PVR. Won't go if it's held at Gay Pride Farm or whatever the place that Corinthian play at is called disbelief
