What about those that pay cash every game and sit down and spend in bar, and tea bar and programme and club shop and scratch card..... who pay a lot more than season ticket holders?
LOL, its pretty simple, the club had discussions with lenders and WUSA, WUSA have chosen not to make public what was discussed by members.
Thats a right hissy fit Graham, over a tenner, i spend probably 10 times what you do a season watching welling probably more yet you are claiming as a season ticket holder you should know more than the many people who have joined and attended WUSA, some travelling many miles (Milton Keynes, Broadstairs, Surrey etc etc).
PS, if you have a problem with WUSA they are trying to help the club and the team... and every member that signs up makes them stronger. If anyone hasnt joined yet, pm Matt The Hat, Russ or Bruno.
Everyone has the option to join but dont cry and play the real supporter card if WUSA and its members get to hear things first as they are working with and for the club and everyone is on the same side.
IF you cant attend meetings its still worth joining as you get mail shots and details of last nights meeting were posted on the WUSA forum not long after the meeting finished.
* Note i am not on any committee or speaking for them, just a Welling fan and member of WUSA

Whoah, hang on a mo. I'm not one bit against WUSA, and I actually took my form home and then simply forgot to sign up towards the end of the season. I'm not after a willy waving contest about how much we spend on the club - I spend my fair share and travel to 90% of away games - my only point was I thought the discussion was regarding the club's financial situation which affects every single supporter.
If that wasn't what the meeting was about then I'll merrily wait for news through the local rags or official site.
I think you will see a statement soon about the HMRC situation from the club, and i wouldnt be panicking Graham. I would urge you to send that form in (for next season) as the more fans that join the more WUSA can pull everyone together and pool ideas and resources. Just one of the ways they are trying to help is to see if they can boost the budget, they arent only looking to make things better for themselves, but are working for the good of the club and all the fans.

I fully intend to join the WUSA in the near future, but all the same, whether someone is a member of the WUSA or not, the club has been criticised for lack of communication in the past.
I think, unless a good reason for privacy, every Welling fan, WUSA or not, should be given the curtosy of regular updates on general progress on and off the field. Considering the problems of recent times a lack of info is often, albeit wrongly, assumed to mean there is a problem.
I personally currently have no idea what the latest HMRC issue entails. I am currnetly not a member of the WUSA. Does my support not mean as much ??
Well done to teh WUSA for their proactive work though.
Kevin, The Club issued a statement about the HMRC issue on the official website on 5 May just 5 days ago. You can't expect them to issue daily announcements.

You are totally right Kevin - but it is not for the WUSA to provide the updates on the club's affairs. They do enough for the club as it is without having to take over their comms role as well

I think the problem was that originally this was a private WUSA meeting to which the club were invited. Suddenly it became semi-open.
There are some matters discussed which are best kept out of view of the general public therefore it is probably fairer that WUSA issues remain as members only access. I'm sure nobody intends to snub any loyal Welling United supporter.

Maybe Ive got the wrong end of the wedge Mark, as I wasnt there and havent spoken in person to anyone from teh club, nor supporters, for over a week. Just a loyal, concerned, interested fan as always.

You're correct Mark, afterall, transparency is the key word here. Just like the Ace up someones sleeve.

Sidcup Graham-----"So unless you're a member of the WUSA you don't get any info? So someone paying £10 or whatever the subscription is, is entitled to more information that a season ticket holder?"
Last Night I Couldn't Attend, And If I did I wouldnt have been able to get in, I would have been turned away. Dispite the monies We've raised my say in the money and where it goes DOES NOT COUNT, Along With Patsy Are We Just Cash Cows.!!!!!!! I have not joined the WSUA as Both Patsy and Myself work with both the club and WUSA when putting on functions TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE CLUB. I have been asked to join WUSA but I have not seen anything to make me actually say "YES thats for me". JGFC says it needs more people to join but nobody has ever explained to me why I should. Print out a leaflet Its good Points , Set up a meeting for non members to attend in which to encourage others. We've done fund raising for the club along with The WSU and WUSA helping the club and We've also got further events booked. Yet We Can't Be Privy to how the money is spent.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I understand where you have issues regarding this, but to come back to a point you made about raising money for WSU, shall we go back to when monies were handed over the club without anyones knowledge, in fact this was money originally from the appeal fund, I seem to remember both your reactions, we now have a supporters club that has elected committee members where all spend is voted by members. So no money exiting via the back door.
Here are several positives that wusa offer
1. One single powerful voice that WILL act for its supporters and make sure welling united exists in some form.
2. Co-ordinating away travel to Braintree and would have been subsidised if minimum numbers were not met, for wusa and non wusa members.
3. Supporting the playing budget to give jamie opportunity to keep or add to squad to help push team into playoffs.
4. To run the end of season presentation and make sure we celebrate the great efforts the team efforts.
5. The running of the clubshop, which this year has produced by far the best variety of stock.
6. Looking to have presence at danson festival to give the club presence in the community.
7. Summer project, looking to acquire building to be used as tea bar to be placed behind home goal neare to far turnstiles so supporters don't have to walk all the way to the other tea bar behind the stand.
8. Potential work to improve clubhouse for supporters
9. Liaise with club to improve quality and choice of drink sold in clubhouse
10. To work with jamie to make sure he can keep quality of players via budget.
These are only a few reasons I can reel out more, this is not a closed shop I urge you to join, we have an agm at the end june, anyone can stand for committee its democratic and voted by all members
Sy - I can fully appreciate your feelings, especially after all the hard work that you and Patsy have done. You two alone must have brought in plenty of revenue for the club and should be acknowledged. Alas, until changes are made, you are pissing in the wind and will get no gratitude from the club. I sent a PM to Patsy earlier - have a look and the offer is still there mate.
Cheers Matt, This Is the First Real reasons I've seen to attract new members into joining the WUSA.
Im Pleased That you've Explained this so not only myself but others can see your intentions.
I know that I've spoke to you about matters similar and yes I've been annoyed at money exiting as you put it. But I would have liked some imput but due to my non membership at present I dont have any.
Matt. Congratulations to you Russ and Malcolm for doing an excellent job at last night's meeting and in general and putting together a good post detailing reasons to join WUSA.

Alan i think people have to let Bruno know, because he hasnt got all members emails, you dont have to register it just has to be added to your forum account that you are allowed access to the private forum.

I thought it would have been done automatically. I really can't be bothered registering. Why does it all have to be secret.
The reason is that we hear things that aren't for the wider population. Anyone can read the messages on this board and we don't want everyone on the internet knowing our business. We are a laughing stock amongst some other teams and I don't want to give them any insider knowedge.
