Liam was a funny player , thought he was quick but games seemed to pass him by, he never got involved when he came on. Good luck to him, hes only young. Also can we be sure Daisy actually offered him anything or wanted to keep him?

He seems to have signed for Brentford's Academy/U21s/Development squad. Hope he makes it there and gets in their first team.

Wasn't Liam on duel registration between us and Cray or am I thinking of someone else? Either way good luck to him.

Been a fair few released by the Gills recently...Any chance Ashby can have a word with his old gaffer down there (although they're on bare bones by the look of it too...)

One of whom was Tony Sinclair. I went to see Gills v Barnet towards the end of the season when Gillingham were in their self destruct mode. Tony came on towards the end and did really well - Gillingham fans were moaning that if he had been on since the start they wouldn't have conceded 4!!

He will find somewhere for an extra 20 quid a week. He got paid a lotof a season for sitting in a stand then repaid us by peeing off to woking when fit when they waved £20 in his face.

No thanks... let him go and play kent league again. Weve got better anyway and ours have a decent character.

I don't think he will come back and I don't think we need him anyway - just commented on one of our old boys being released.

I don't blame him for going to Woking though- they were Conference National at the time I do believe.

Wonder if there is any update re players who have signed for next season apart from ones mentioned above. Slightly concerned that since James announcement there has been no update on the website

Anyone heard anything more ?

Cheers

Lou

Was told last week Jamie Day was away so no doubt we will hear of some more signings shortly.

I believe we have a few more signed up, but we will have to wait till Daisy is back and they can dot the i's and cross the t's. No real surprises in the signings , Dont think nothing is happening, Daisy has it all covered and deserves MASSIVE praise for getting most of last years players signed up just after the season ended. he said in the press that 11 are signed from last year, so its not new news.

Normally we are saying ffs, we have a left winger and forward signed up and it will be July soon... we KNOW we have most of the big guns signed up and you KNOW Jamie will bring in a couple and have some lined up for trials or the weaker pre season games.

We will be fired up, settled squad and ready to go for the first league game and thats a monumental advantage over a lot of the teams.

Everyone chill and let the gaffer put the finishing touches to our fantastic squad of players. Remember he will be after a good character as well as a good player and a lot of clubs dont release players till the end of June.

At times he was a superb player, i was sick when he left, that was years ago and relegated at Thurrock and 3 or 4 goals in 40 games shows hes not the player he was.

Spitey, we need players who will die for the club, and we have loads of those as theyve proved, you cant be sure that Bod wouldnt sod off to Dover or Farnborough if he scored a few early and they came knocking... hes gone mid season before. Entirely his choice, but we owe him nothing in second chances or loyalty and we have a superb team spirit where they all trust each other.

Weve moved on, good luck to matt, hope he gets a club, but although i would support him if he came here, i hope he doesnt.

I firmly believe we have better or could get better than Bod and thats without doubts over his heart and committment.

Was actually referring to Sinclair but liked Bods too.  Would probably choose Faz now though he's not always the quickest to re-sign (unless he's one of the mystery three of course!).

Do hope Andrews isn't going to be blown out would be a big mistake in my opinion.

Whitehouse lovely fella and did well but are we sure he's staying on? Not totally convinced depending who's out there. Budget may dictate.

Cant see Andrews staying, lovely bloke and if he was bang fit would have him in squad.
Think Parky, Acheampong, Sambrook and Martin all better than him, due mainly to him looking fragile last season due to injury and looked half a yard short of pace at this level. If he gets over the injury and got back to the Andrews we know then you would keep him have no doubt.

Would love to see the best center half in the league play there next season alongside Acheampong. If he does play in the middle though he will do well as it will be his second season in the middle.

I'd have Whitehouse all day long in goal. hes a winner, a good keeper and ignore the last 2 or 3 games when we played crap infront of him look at the results with him in the team. Look at the mans record where ever hes been. Feel free if you can name a better keeper at this level , whos local and wants to play for us and has won titles.

Don't agree about Andrews but interesting re. injury. Daisy certainly seems to have taken against him.

You're bigging up Parkinson somewhat but his commitment and attitude are outstanding (if occasionally a little over zealous). Thought he looked all over the place at times in midfield but he keeps at it and am sure there's more to come.

Nothing against Whitehouse but he didn't make it at Dover (ultimately) and Dartford at this level? Has done nothing wrong though size and particularly kicking a concern. Brilliant attitude though and certainly did us a turn last year. Budget will no doubt dictate but Craig Holloway for example is one I would name.

Dartford felt Young was better than Whitehouse, they are wrong... Also you might find that Whitehouse won Titles at Dover and also the Ryman League Golden Gloves award. Only lost his place due to Injury and Dover brought in someone on big money and stuck by him. Whitehouse hit a few dodgy kicks but he can work on that and the rest of his game was an asset to us. Hes local, he wants to play for us , hes a winner and he never stops talking as well as making some good saves in the last couple of months. Wouldnt call a League winner and golden gloves winner someone who never made it. Look at the Keepers Dover bring in... Flitney, Edwards, Hook etc etc they do like a supposed higher level keeper and now theyve apparantly signed Knowles who was last at Eastbourne in the league above.

Everyone  of them from last year would be welcome by the fans, but reduced budget will mean Daisy has to be harsh and some will not make the cut unfortunately as he needs to make sure we havent got 2 or 3 in the same position sitting on the bench and we have cover in all positions.
