Blimey. Nine Below Zero played a track on one episode of 'The Young Ones'.
Yep Sherpa the very same band.
Nine Below Zero performed "11+11" on the first episode ("Demolition") of the BBC Television comedy series, The Young Ones.
Also
Oasis guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher got a copy of Cotton Mather's CD Kon Tiki, and was very impressed. Oasis helped promote Cotton Mather and asked them to tour with Oasis. The British psych-pop label Rainbow Quartz reissued Kon Tiki in the UK in late 1998, becoming a massive hit, with the song "My Before and After" even gaining a fair amount of radio airplay. The band's Lost My Motto was featured on Little Steven Van Zandt's "Coolest Songs In The World Vol. 1"
This will be good, Sy shame you cant get a stage on the pitch, if this gets out to the music scene you would think you could get 200 or 300 there and a drinks tent. Good gig looks like it...
Quite a coup, well done.

First saw Nine Below Zero support The Who at Lewisham Cinema back in the 1980's also saw the Truth support the Kinks also back in the mid 80'. at the Hammersmith Pally. also seen the Truth and NBZ in recent years
both still good live bands that are fronted by Dennis
Will be a good nights entertainment.

Looks like Dennis Greaves will outsell Rushfest... Farnborough FC's open air concert including some 80s/90s legends T Pau, the Real Thing, China Crisis and Hazel Oconnor. A Farnborough fan suggests that only 80 or 90 people were there in the stadium to see it and a lot of them are moaning at lack of promotion of the event and prices being unreasonable.
80 or 90 people is shocking, Apparantly Carol Decker the lead singer of T Pau asked if anyone had seen a poster for the concert lol. Great idea but great ideas arent enough you need to drag people out of their armchairs with news and info, seems Farney thought you just need to put on something and people will turn up.

I had an Email from one of the band and The Special Guest musician is probable, which is good news and I hope to post a confirmation by the end of the week.
I dont know what year that was but I have managed to get hold of a Nine Below Zero, Live at The Marquee LP and the date on it is 16th July 1980. Also if you are on it, you can buy a RAFFLE ticket, if your not you can buy TWO.
We will get Dennis to sign it first. Have a good night.
