Following last season's coach to Braintree, the WUSA interim committee has discussed the possibility of travel to some away games this season, depending on demand. We are currently looking at the first four trips of the season:

  • Havant - Tuesday 16 August
  • Farnborough - Saturday 20 August
  • Thurrock - Monday 29 August
  • Dorchester - Saturday 10 September

There are only two home matches between now and the first two of those trips so we need to know demand very quickly.

My dear Russ,

I have a bit of a dilemma, I would love to go the Farnborough game with you and the others, but I have a slight problem.

One of my old students (Yoother Joyce), who I mentored through her acting career, has contacted me to say that she is planning a spectacular return to the public eye on her birthday party which is being planned for the same day.

Sod it! Ill go football. Shell just have to wait till I get back.

Can you put me down for a deluxe seat for the Farnborough game please?

P.S
Does the cost include a meal in their Platinum Lounge?

It was last year Fat Cabby because of engineering works. This year it is straight through from Waterloo and doesn't take all day.

Thanks Chelwing.
Direct from Watetloo sounds much much better than the x36 changes via Crewe...

Good luck with the coach's & will no doubt use it at some stage over the season.

Take up so far (the highest being 6 for Havant) would suggest it is unlikely. The quotes we've had from the coach companies leave us no leeway with regards empty seats.

I'd like to re-ask Spills' question about departure time for Havant. I'd like to know so I can get my shift at work changed accordingly.

So.........................."Russ What sort of time would the coach depart for Havant?"

Havant departure time will be about 4.30 but, as stated above, is totally dependent on numbers. If it helps anyone's decision, you're looking at something like £20 unless we can find a cheaper quote.

apparently i was told at the Beckenham Town game that there was a chance that it could only be the THURROCK game we get travel due to lack of coaches. There is a coaching company down wren road which is just off of Faraday Avenue and there are always around seven coaches to spare per a day so they are between 32 and 64 seaters i think, is that any help

TBKIAH - It was only one of the coach companies that could only do Thurrock; we have quotes for all but Farnborough so far and I'm sure that will change.

For those interested in the Havant trip you are looking at £20-25 unless we find a better deal in the next few days.

Havant fixture change makes this one doubtful.

The season's fixtures can also be found in the thread titled '2011/12 Fixtures' which is at the top of the index of this forum's threads.

you'll soon go away when the new school year starts - and what makes it funny is you think you are winding me up

HA HA you do make me laugh J. I aint going anywhere my Addicks loving mucka and I guarantee you 1000% that I will be at more Wings games than you this season. At first this was just banter, but now it is becoming top quality fun. Keep up the good work.
