what a game, great support from us, pires man of the match.
oh, and the poznan is the way forward in welling united goal celebrations
I am afraid I live a very sheltered life and had no idea what the poznan is. However instead of waiting for JgFc's excellent video (sorry couldn't make away today) I have used the services of young Mr Google to enlighten me. Personally I think its a rather good display and well done to the chaps and chapesses who did it today. Long may you reign.

I couldn't make it in the end
please tell me that you are joking with that poznan remark - only a bunch of joke fans (ie man city fans) do that
And dont forget Lech Poznan fans who City copied.
yep City(the most hated team in the country for good reason) had one season in Europe and copied a celebration of a Polish team and now it seems to be spreading
I get called a muppet and an idiot as usual on a faceless forum but the fact is I hate seeing our fans copy a pathetic celebration because it has been seen on TV - we are better than that and have never needed it in the past - why now?
PS fantastic result and shows why we will be up there come the end of the season

Well it may be a forum but I wouldn't say it's faceless, it's not an anonymous post, it's me putting my name against it. You say you hate to see our fans copy these celebrations but you're never really at the games to see it. The make such a stupid comment as "If these celebrations continue I'l ask the Hobbins for a refund on my season ticket" is stupid. It's called fun J, you should try it sometime.

Oh and you seem to be the only one not liking the celebration when quite a few people said they enjoyed it. Are you going to be there on Tuesday? I'l make sure we all don't do that celebration just so you don't get annoyed. I seem to remember seeing a section of the Charlton fans doing it the other day, did you hate that as well?

I'm sorry j, I saw some fans jumping around with there arms in the air the other day..think it was Monday, oh yea it was man city fans. Should we not do this either? And they were singing (guess that's now outta the question). I couldn't be bothered to quote you, its hard to do on a mobile when your out having a good time after a great match and not sat on a laptop at home (yawn) but you get my drift.
oh dear J you have lit the blue torch paper now mate. Your as popular as Rupert Murdoch right now! By the way the celebration looked awesome and the wings were superb

and I'm down Millwall on Tuesday but I'll keep an eye out for it on Saturday - always good to see an original celebration at our games so I'll start bringing the cow bell to ring.......
just watched it on the other thread - it's a bit difficult to make out but it looks like about four people are doing it so I won't worry too much but seriously it just looks stupid
if people on here want to have "fun" and do that then I can't stop you but don't criticise other fans of clubs for things they do eg instruments as you won't have a leg to stand on

Yes J, we are the same and I quote - "joke fans" who have and always will support the club, on and off the pitch, week in week out which everyone involved with the club, from the owners to the playing staff, appreciates more than a self-proclaimed ground hopper who then seems dismayed as to why attendances are down.
Christ on a bike - You spout some absolute drivel on here (and in real life as your infamous five minute champions league-gate rant showed) at the best of times but I have genuinely never read so much complete and utter waffle in all my life. A wise man once told me that "it is better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" and let me tell you, all doubt has certainly been removed.
The Poznan goal celebration is an obvious tongue in cheek bit of fun from my fellow Brethren. Why shouldn't we copy what other teams do? Indeed, if we weren't to copy what other teams do, then there would be no songs or chanting at our games or in fact, there would be no singing in any matches up and down the country as all songs are copied, with the occasional word changed. Our main song of "It's a grand ol' team to play for" was first sung I believe by Everton and is still used as their main song today. Shall we not sing this, in case we get accused of plagiarism? Shall I not - as the great Lulu once sang "Throw My Head Back and Shout!" when we score a goal as the first team to have ever scored a goal was greeted by celebration from fans. Is this a clear case of plagiarism aswell?
At the end of the day, it is up to us how we decide to support the team and this cannot be mocked by anyone, especially if they are not there. I don't care if other teams supporter's talk about us or think what we do is embarrassing either, we are just enjoying ourselves something which you should do rather than sitting at home and judging others, whilst presumeably masterbating furiously over Swedish porn on a regular basis as it has left your mind blinkered.

Well said PPH, i thank you for standing up for us joke fans who go Home & Away
at the end of the day (no pun intended), the players love the singing and noise to bits and have said its a lift for them so carry on and make lots of noise, especially like yesterday when it was almost non stop. it was fantastic and i am certain the players appreciated it. Against staines at home you were all singing before kick off. Same again on tuesday.

always a sign you are winning the argument when people start insulting you - iI think it is a stupid celebration(and just about everyone I know who watches football agrees)
fact is on this forum you arent allowed to have an opinion that doesnt fit with what the majority think - I'm sure you would turn up to Wembley and enjoy the clappers and doing mexican waves - what ever happened to just celebrating a goal?
and I get called a "ground hopper" or whatever but I have been going to this club for 7 years and have spent a fortune doing so with regards to beer, season tickets, sponsor shirts etc so if I vanish take away £100s while you are at it, plus I have been to loads of away games over the years and football just doesn't rule my life like it used to as I have busy weeks at work and just want a weekend relaxing without having to train up to London for the 6th day on the trot (I'm assuming you have a job)
and counter my champions league rant then - what I said was 100% accurate as only a deluded fool would expect to get big crowds in on a tuesday when you have a man u vs barca game on tv in the middle of winter
I always find with most people they are quick to insult but never debate - next saturday look for me and I will have a chat about it with you

Whenever there is a strong difference of opinion between my fellow patients and myself I go to Matron for advice. She always reminds us that as we all live in the same institution, we should try and get along as any disharmony can affect the quality of life of others. If our anxiety levels increase then she in turn puts up our dosage of medication. And that doesn't help anyone.
As the biggest joke in all of football, I have found that strong views can create an equal opposite as a reply. Whereby, a more liberal, constructive approach/response can help the matter go down a different avenue.
I have passed this thread to Matron and trust me, you will not want her looking for any of you.
This thread should be about celebrating a brilliant win. Who gives a toss how people celebrate and who gives a toss whether people are week in week out or occasional or first timers - the more the merrier I say. Musical instruments are different though, although frankly who gives a toss if one of 5 away fans is a drummer, as long as you don't have to stand too close to them. I'm surprised some of our following even remember the games the following morning, always assumed that's why the videos get put on the website.
Pushing the boat out with the dictionary definitions aren't you?
I try to look intelligent every once in a while.....
and on a side point - with all this poznan rubbish I actually think our fans are a decent bunch - travel in numbers, have a good sing and can be quite witty at times
keep it up one and all!
