As far as I can remember, in our record season of 1984-85 we'd already lost two games by this stage (we only lost one more throughout the entire season).

What price on us doing a Newport County this season and having the championship sown up by Easter?

It's a nice thought. Probably a bit unrealistic, though.

To be fair on Woking, I thought they were one of the best 4 teams I've seen at PVR this season.

Great game, just what the doctor ordered. Hopefully we'll hang on to a few of those extra supporters. Just heard the interview with Barry Ashby and Daisy is out of the country at a wedding.

what an excellent result and really hard fought battle

Faz had an absolute blinder - Anthony was incredible especially in the last 5 minutes got the ball away a couple of times from difficult situations
also have to say Ben Martin is improving game on game and thwarted the hoof it up the pitch tactics that Woking were using most of the game

Well done Blond kid - keep at the reports we need to encourage the next generation of Welling fans and while his grammar is questionable I can confirm he does attend a local grammar school - perhaps we should blame them

On another note - the yound lad who collects the £1 for seats on the E and B stand does a good job but can only man one ailse and many Woking fans did not pay for their seats in the top half of this stand - very annoying for me as they were sitting near me shouting absolute nonsense - could we have a second stand steward to stop this nonsense and also give away fans a quick quiz before allowing them to sit there and it seems the average knowledge of football rules has escaped most of them

Daisy is in Canada hence the postponement of the second "Get Behind Your Team". The club knew about this before the start of the season.

A great result in a game that was a terrific advert for Blue Square South football against a Woking side that look sure to be in the top two or three at the end of the season.

Ben, Anthony, Faz and Parky all had outstanding games today and it is very encouraging that even when the front three are prevented from scoring, there are other players well capable of finding the net.

I have to say that after the disappointing first game, I would not have believed it possible that after seven games we would lead the table by five points.

Oh, sorry I forgot to add. Although Jack got two goals I thought Louis Faz had a blinder and Ben Martin also. For me, Faz gets my man of the match.

Have to agree with you Trigger, I thought Louis was M.O.T.M too but the whole team were great again.

Couldn't understand some of the ref's decisions. He books our bloke for going to the lavatory and does nothing for 3 or 4 really bad tackles from Woking.

Very amusing when the officials first came out. It reminded me of the sketch on The David Frost show with John Cleese, Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  "I know my place".

What a great win. Faz had a great game but i would go with Parky as man of the match , not always easy going from centre back to midfield but what a great team effort.

My dear Alan S

What is nice is that the man of the match at the moment, has to be outstanding due to the overall excellent quality of the team.

Woking looked very dangerous when going forward, and I am confident that if that is how they consistantly play then a top placing at the end of the season will be filled by them.

Please can we go back to 4-1 though, I found today a little too tense at times. Superb game, superb crowd. Nopt sure who my MOTM would be - thought Anthony was immense as was Faz.

... The hoardings. Truth is better team won. There keeper kept them in it with 3 or 4 crucial saves. Great win. Parky was immense as were faz anthony and ben.

Well if it was a fight the referee would have stopped it after 70-75 minutes...I thought we were worth a draw today......Priceless - so its an even fight but the referee should stop it.......If he thinks we play like that every week then clearly he hasn't been doing his homework has he, no wonder they lost.

Hes a character and clearly wasnt happy, IMHO they werent good and were direct and dodgy at back and we were comfortable till they came at us last 10 mins but Acheampong said no way you aint scoring. Pleased for Ant after the stick he got from them last season. Their keeper made 3 or 4 good saves. Dan never had a save to make did he other than the goals?

Really good performance from everyone today. My man of the match has to be Faz - tireless running, great defending and excellent set pieces.

The ref certainly did make some strange decisions today, but overall, not a bad job. Why do Woking 'fans' have to behave like thugs? Why kick the hoardings down? They should be reported to the League.

They certainly should be reported, but I suspect nothing will happen.

When the first hoarding came down, I thought it was an accident and that it had come down after the Woking fans surged forward.  Then it became obvious that several of them were putting the boot in.  Bad losers.

Just seen the interview with Hill - he did not like the difficult questions he got especially when asked will they practice defending corners in training - brilliant !! A round of applause for the bloke asking the questions !!

Looks like Mr Hill is feeling the pressure. He won't like the fact that we are 5 points clear. If he doesn't get them up then he's probably going to get the boot. Their fans will soon turn on him if they lose a couple more. In the style of Nelson Muntz from the Simpson's "ha ha"

Welling's management did do their homework as the corner's were different to our normal ones.

I thought that both teams played football when allowed to, and both went down the channels at times.

We scored two goals from corners following Howe saves. That's hardly playing for corners as suggested by their supporters on the Conference South board!!

We all saw them hoofing it, they go on like they were barcelona. If and ands, take away our 3 goals, the 4 saves, the disallowed goal and woking may have got a draw.

makes me laugh we have all these new stewards who are more than happy to tell people they can't stand in an area with a bit of paint on for more than a minute but when we really need stewards to do their jobs and stop opposition fans wrecking our ground they are nowhere to be seen
