well the game was everything we could have hoped for - a five goal thriller, a victory and we are flying high at the top of the table

after that I'm sure a few will be happy to make a return visit to PVR

I had a fantastic day on saturday, even if my heart felt rather fragile at the final whistle! I then headed to the local watering holes to celebrate the fact that Woking, a self considered 'big club' haven't beaten us for 2 years!

I hang my head in shame for reading The Sun but the Loick Pires yellow card had it's own little story in the football pull-out today!

I don't read The Sun either, but they have had a few Welling snippets over the years. Does anyone have a scan / link to the Pires story?

Just got a copy off my next door neighbour not sure if allowed to quote in full here under copyright law. Don't want to see Bruno banged up. But to summerise The Sun states Loick got the most bizarre yellow of the season for taking a toilet break. Booked for leaving the pitch without permission.

May have given sun readers a chuckle but it has brought the attention of Welling United to many more people than usual. Never know we may even get a few locals in to see us once they realise there is a football team in Welling.
