Following its success at the Woking game the club will once again be running a happy hour before this Saturday's match against Maidenhead. Food on offer in the Wings Bar will be chilli, curry and rolls.

Did you hear whether there would be Real Ale, and if so what it would be? As enjoyable as the Trelawney has been it would be good if another ale not previously seen at PVR was available. Variety is the spice of life and all that!!

Mark

Barry said he was waiting for a list of the Available ales before he would get details posted on the sites. He did say the Woking game was a success in the clubhouse and the club were very pleased with how it was supported and the club were keen to offer a similar experience this week to the fans.

I would urge everyone to support it as unlikely to be as many away fans there as Woking had but im sure the Home fans will be out in force again from 1.30pm.

I must say the meat pie I had from the bar before the Woking game was excellent. I doff my cap to the club and look forward to sampling whats on offer on Saturday.

On a more serious note could someone remind me about Maidenhead last year. I seem to remember a bit of hacking and moaning by their players or have I got this confused with another side.

Should be a good game on Saturday, lets hope some of the floaters who came for Woking return.

Some floaters?  Check out Google on that one Dave.biggrin

On another note, I can't make Saturdays game cos I am getting married the day before smilesmilesmile  and I may not be compos mentis. Cheer on the Wings for a great win and I'll see you at the next home game.

Congratulations to you and your intended Cynical.  My best wishes for a long and happy future together.

Not sure that not being compos mentis is an excuse to miss the game though. winkwink

Many congratulations Cynical. Hope the weather is kind to you.

It could have been worse though. You could have picked Cup Final day like my wife did. It was only Liverpool V Newcastle 1974 so no real interest for me.

My sister's wedding was not so convenient though. England V Argentina 1966. And it was a 3:00PM wedding too. Arghhhhh.

Indeed. Similar play - similar tactics. Maidenhead have started fairly well this season so let's hope we're on our guard from the off.

Last year I described them as "filth" (perhaps a bit strong in the heat of the match) and lucky to not get a red card (Clarke got a forearm in the face).  They gave us a tough match, but a cracking goal from Loui won it for us.  I do like Maidenhead as a club and they have some decent fans, but they were very Dorchester-esque last time we played them.  Let's hope we're ready for them.

My dear Cynical

I can understand why I got married, I am as they say "a good catch".

But I find myself asking "what is making someone marry you"? You've obviously got something over her. I'd like to wish her all the very best and hope that she shuts off all avenues of happiness in your life.

All the very best mate.

Thanks Mr Trigger. The future Mrs Cynical read your post and agreed - I wondered why she was playing 'Under my thumb' by the Rolling Stones on the gramaphone confuse

Thanks Bruno - I wish that I could get there, but once I sober up, we have to clear up next day, then being taken out to lunch down a nice country pub by friends. I'll be there in spirit willing the boys on to a glorious win and still being top of the table.

Of course, both love anything from Bocelli to Sabbath. Would be good to see the old ones dancing to Paranoid though biggrin
