Second nowhere near a certainty and angles of view could well present differing views. For me not a penalty but if the roles were reversed I'd be shouting as loud a anybody else for a pen.

How did the ref fail to give the No. 3 a second booking and a free kick to Welling after showing a yellow to Thomas for a less obvious 'foul' and awarding a penalty???

I personally feel he showed the 3 the Yellow ... to his face, then put it down.. then 3 carries on holding ball and he Tries to show him a yellow again, then 3 continues with the ball and he shows him a yellow to his back. So has the ref showed him 1 2 or 3 yellows? I dont buy into the 1 yellow card 2 or 3 times as he put it down having already clearly showed it to his face. Not surprising the ref lost control of the game.
I also feel 2nd was not a penalty and he only gave it when acheampong cleared the ball off the line. I also feel the forward just slung himself on the deck to get the penalty (fair play to him i spose), after the ball had gone. Ref bought it for me and a poor decision especially given the length of time it took him to make it.

Gary is correct... watch how far the ref is behind... then he runs into shot giving a free kick to welling or is he giving a goal? in the end he gives neither. Its a shame you cant get their opinions until they come round again, most have been fine to chat about previous games. He certainly looked confused at times.
