Always a big game, thought we were desperate not to get two wins last year, got pulled back away late and at home somehow we lost.

Our boys will be out to prove a point today, sure to be a good crowd and decent atmosphere.

Good first half, pretty poor second half. Need to rediscover that killer touch as Dover were not that good and we should have taken 3 points from that game.

Positives , clean sheet and thought Davisson looked decent when he came on, passes the ball and has skill.

Couple of errors gave Dover a sniff and they really should have scored at the end with a one on one but Dan Thomas saved us.

Interviews with Jamie Day and Man of the match Dan Thomas in about 90 mins and Full highlights tomorrow, should be a good watch despite it being 0-0. Ref was truly awful never gave us one decision around their box, not one, i gave up thinking we would get a free kick if it was in the final 3rd.... and how hes not give a penalty when Wynter floored Pugh is anyones guess....

Thankfully he never gave any awful decisions to Dover around our box so at least he was poor for both teams.

Team was

Thomas, Sambrook, Obersteller, Parkinson, Acheampong, Martin, Fazakerley, Clarke, Cumbers, Pugh, Pires

3 subs came on Davisson after about 70 mins, Tuna after 80 mins and Attwood for last couple of minutes.

Ex England and Current Man City Number 2 Goalkeeper Stuart Taylor was there today watching, i tried to tap him up... he said maybe haha.

In no way did I agree that we were poor 2nd half, I just think Dover raised there game. Shame we didnt win it but a much better performance defensively and for a bit more luck in front of goal and we would have got a deserved winner.

Lot more positives than negatives to take away from todays game.

Up The Wings!

I would have said 55% Dover 45% Wings over the 90 minutes. Dover had the clearer chances which they should have scored from whereas Wings had near misses.  Both midfields lacked creativity - plenty of effort just not effective enough.  I thought the ref started off well but then showed a great reluctance to penalise defenders of both sides which allowed them to effectively outmuscle the attackers.

Thought we had better of first half and Whites had domination first 20 of second without having clear cut chances galore, Welling came into it more in second half but Dover were excellent second half and looked more dangerous, Take Bricknell out and you probably win although not sure you deserved to win or us to lose, hes a fine player just had an off day.

We were good first half i thought and created a few chances. I was impressed with Dover today and thats probably the best away support seen at Welling in noise since the big Cup games 20 years ago. You all owe £1 for the stand where you gatecrashed it second half and an extra £5 each for them bloody drums :) call it £50.
