Some fans delayed at Waterloo (seen on facebook) as no trains currently leaving. According to teletext Delays of upto 1 hour between Waterloo and Southampton due to signal problems at Basingstoke.
The trains were fine but is there any way of avoiding the life in your hands walk from that station?
Yes. I got the Bluestar 2 bus from the bus station which is about a one minute walk from the railway station. It takes just under 15 mins and drops you about 100 yards from the ground. It runs every 20 minutes and I got one after the game which got me back in time to catch the 17.14 train to Waterloo. Mind you even the 100 yards ia a life in your hands job with no pavements on either side of the road.
