We went two up in the first half then conceded 10 minutes into the second half. After that it was pretty scrappy but they did not really test Thomas again whereas Craig Ross made some excellent saves for them.
Although not firing on all cylinders I think we deserved the win.
First half we were all over them, if Pughies second goal dont make goal of the season then it will be a cracker that beats it.
Second half we look tired, not up for it and let in a sloppy goal which put us under unecessary pressure.
Think with Clarkey suspended today we looked in good shape going 4-3-3, Loick looks to be firing on all cylinders at the moment. INteresting to see Ben left on the bench and Sammy take up centre half with Anthony. Could be the same next week as I think Joe Healy is suspended. Good to see no more yellow cards for us today.
Finally thought it was one of the better refs we have see this year, although I dont think he had a lot to do. One of their blokes was belly aching on the way out though so I'm sure they will see it different
I went for a piss during the game and missed pughies goal was it good?
I thought for spells we were very good and for spells we were sloppy and nervy. The big thing was we had a few big performances and a got the win fairly comfortably so confidence will be rising again.
Well done guys now lets go on a run and put the pressure on those behind.
Highlights with Jamie Day and Ooooh na na whats his name.... Anthony Acheampong will be up around 9 ish and highlights will follow either very late or tomorrow afternoonish.
(i didnt really miss pughies goal.. but nearly did... how did he score from there)

What a change to have a very good referee yesterday. Not just competent and consistent but he also used a lot of common sense. We have not had many of those qualities so far this season. I rated him 9 out of 10. Perhaps we should run our own rating score for our referee each week?
As for the game, but for the keeper in the first half, we could have run up a cricket score. We should have kept hold of the keeper until after the match! At times I thought H&R played some really good stuff - a young side but quite skilled and a change from their old hoof and run style. They certainly did not play like a relegation candidate and, with the addition of a BSS striker on a 3 months loan as threatened, they could soon start climbing up the table.

Seeing their onloan striker stretchered off after a debut goal won't have helped their cause. Hopefully it's nothing too serious as they were much more pleasing to watch than the old H&RB.
Fair play to them not the fouling hoofers they were under Dev, but you feel its going against them and they are a bit of a soft touch. Still not happy about the temp stand that cost us a shot at the play offs but at least they are no longer horrible to watch into the bargain.
their keeper did everything right and kept them in it. Just shows you how Daisy and the Coaches can spot players, its also good we arent just falling into teh trap of overspending.
Big thing for me was a few of ours played well and despite us getting a bit nervous, Acheampong slung his nut at everything in the air and we held on comfortably, hopefully we will gain confidence and click into gear shortly.
Saturday will be immense, i'm sure the players will bust their balls and try and win for a decent travelling army to Cornwall. The effort Saturday was superb you could see them ALL find an extra gear and keep running especially when tracking back or going after a lost cause.
Good shout about Loick being firing on all cylinders, he got my vote in the player of the month ballot for October.
COYW!!
