Called up for the England C contingency squad, worry is if he makes it in he would miss the Sailsbury game. Well done to Andy his performances deserve it.

Having said that the club needs to step in here - our game is much more important than some friendly with Gibraltar and, as such, our player should be playing for his club that night.
The full squad is: Shane Killock (FC Telford United); Adam Boyes (Barrow); Kenny Davis and Jai Reason (both Braintree Town); Rory McAuley (Cambridge United); Preston Edwards (Ebbsfleet United); Shaun Beeley and Junior Brown (both Fleetwood Town); Jamie Turley (Forest Green Rovers); Scott Spencer (Hyde); Amari Morgan-Smith, Robbie Willmott and Adam Watkins (all Luton Town); Lindon Meikle (Mansfield Town); Danny Rose (Newport County); Connor Jennings (Stalybridge Celtic); Jonathan Hedge (GK) (Tamworth); Ashley Chambers (York City).
The contingency squad is: Sean Newton (AFC Telford United); Josh Law (Alfreton Town); Marley Watkins (Bath City); Ben wright, Aswad Thomas, Andrew Yiadom and Nathan McDonald (GK) (all Braintree Town); Luke Berry and Josh Coulson (both Cambridge United); Greg Taylor (Darlington); Michael West and Thomas Phipp (both Ebbsfleet United); Kieron Forbes, Eddie Oshodi and Chris Stokes (all Forest Green Rovers); Paul Farman (GK) (Gateshead); Laurie-Dean Walker (Kettering Town); John-Paul Kissock (Luton Town); Tom Naylor (Mansfield Town); Kieron Minto-St Aimie (Tamworth); Andy Pugh (Welling United); Curtis Obeng (Wrexham); Matthew Blair, Jamal Fyfield and Adriano Moke (all York City).
seems the England C team these days is an U23 team as their competative fixtures (Gibaltar is a friendly) play in International Challenge Trophy competition whose fixtures starts in February which is for U23's.
Well done to Andy for being selected for the contingency squad, he has done extremely well for us and deserves this opportunity. Best of luck Andy.
Quite agree Eric. A cursory glance suggests he is the only player from our league in the squad and that is quite an honour. I reckon one or two other Wings will have caught the selectors' attention as well.
Jamie says Pugh should play for England C if called up and not against Salisbury. Think we have to respect the gaffer's wishes as he hasnt done a lot wrong since hes been in charge.
At least we wont be thinking will he or wont he play if selected for England C.
Agreed. For anyone in sport, the chance to represent your country should be the burning desire. Well done to him for getting in, be grand if he can make it in the squad. We know he'd appreciate it, as opposed to the mercenaries playing Sweden tomorrow..
