Morrisons at Thamesmead currently offering 8x500ml bottles of Hobgoblin Ruby Ale for £8, boxed and ready to go. Individual bottles are on the shelf at £2. A cracking pint, 5.2% There were about a dozen boxes left once I had stocked up.

Have to say bit dissapointed at Lidl's recently on the beer front, doesnt seem to be much happening. Maybe if a Director is reading this they will sort something out for Christmas

Bubbles I happen to know that Bruno likes the beer threads when they get going so there is little chance of that happening whilst I am trying to help out fellow supporters in this season of cheer

Bah Humbug to you too!!

It seems a bit early in the competition for me to be going. Around the quarter finals is when us glory hunters like to get involved (providing it is not cold or raining).

I did mean to ask you did you enjoy the KSC game at Thamesmead last season, or Eastleigh away in this campaign.

Take care mate

They had Masterbrew in there last week but it wasn't mentioned in their weekly leaflet. 8 for £8. Most of it had gone by the time I got mine.

To be fair, Lidl constantly have good deals on booze.

The Hobgoblin deal sounds good. Lovely pint. They had it on draught at my club on Sunday.

Your right Chelwing, I noticed his abscence at Eastleigh as well. Worse still at the next home game he had no note from his mum explaining why

Talking of Courage beer, I see Wells & Young have relaunched Russian Stout. I can't think why, it's awful. Very salty taste.

I may have been a little harsh on Lidl's Alan, but they dont seem to have come good of late-maybe I'm just getting there at the wrong times

Seeing as the Wetherspoons Beer Festival finishes on Sunday, are there any real ales that anyone can recommend that I can look out for this week?

I was in on Sat. and would recommend the Duncans IPA. ON thursday I had the Titanic which was not good but they had a honey beer which made a change

I had the Duncans IPA but it's not my sort of beer really, even though I didn't mind it. Was that Titanic beer just off, or did you just not like it. Titanic beers have normally tasted good to me :) Also tried New Horizons, Wild Rider, APA special, SmuttyNose, Zulu Blonde and Hopping Mad, all good ones :D Clocktower seemed a bit rough.

Lidl's have a couple of Shepherd Neame specials this week (starting 29th March). 4-4-2 and Tapping the Admiral. They've both been out before. Both 8 for £8.

They had one called Double Stout on St Paddy's Day but too few to mention after I'd got mine.

They also had Marston's Oyster Stout at £1.29 which is a good price for such a nice ale.

ASDA were doing Mann's Brown Ale (now brewed by Marston's) at £1 for a 500ml bottle. I got the last few from the big one in Bexleyheath but maybe it'll be back.

Could you start buying your beer outside Bexley Borough from now on, so I can actually buy some decent beer? :D

I won't be going to Lidl's today so you should get some.

I'm off to Fuller's Brewery for their tasting tour.
