Pitch was solid, i walked on it and all the players i spoke to said no way could you play on that as you couldnt stop when running fast and when sliding your studs would get caught. Also it was only going to get worse.
Correct decision, probably could have been called off this afternoon but local ref passed it fit so what can you do?

I wasn't surprised game was off - when I came out at 6.30 to drive to the ground I had ice on the car. It wasn't going to get warmer. Sad thing was that this was totally predictable - don't the refs look at the weather forecast? It would have been worse to start the game and call it off at half time.
Thanks to the messages telling me the game was off - only got half way there.
