Produced a cracker in august when we beat them 4-1 at there place. Could do with another great performance to get bacon track. Thought and suggestions?
Brown sauce please.
I've been looking forward to this game for weeks.

Parky, Clarkey, Pires and Cumbers all played well. One sided game in a hoolie of a wind. Nick Pope could have brought a camp bed and a book today.
Their manager wasnt happy afterwards, i think he felt a bit hard done by, not sure why. Only one team deserved to get anything from the game. Greenhalgh after an iffy 5 mins where he was obviously keen to do well, was lively and played some nice balls. He is a cracking signing especially when he gets some minutes into his legs.
Interviews with Jamie Day and Man of the match Lee Clarke will be up later tonight and Highlights will follow.

Yes. We have to egg the players on to end this lean spell.
Make sure you back the players and when we win say "well done". Piggy is going to water the pitch so the surface is nice and greasy, will mean a player or two flipping over every couple of minutes though I expect. Players, you've been warned, dont get burnt.
"Welling were a poor team and showed nothing of their league position. We should have played like last week and played to win instead of a draw playing 4-5-1. The points were there we just failed to play any decent football against another mediocre side."
Always nice, to see oppo fans seethe, i would say controlling 90% of the game restricting the oppo to a half chance in the whole game and then carving them open for a winner is not bad. Thought Farnborough were long ball merchants who caused us zero problems and got what the deserved... nothing.
Those elderly Welling gents in the new stand enjoyed giving the stick to farnborough's fan today, whats happened to their support?, last year they brought 100 plus, this year a minibus full and save the guy in the new stand, they were silent.

He sounds like the sort of bloke that goes on The Apprentice
"My first words wernt mummy they were money"
The word to describe today is gritty. Bit like Man City's win on Mnday, we were not at our very best but did enough. The sign of a good team is to win when not playing 100%

Poor game overall with a few flashes of brilliance, right result in the end. Can't see why Pires got booked when he didn't commit a foul or do anything to their 5 who was a complete tool and not very good either. We will need to raise our performance for the Chelmsford game but I suppose a win is a win so happy with that!
Hard to pick a M.O.T.M., but has to be out of Pires & Martin for me, Ben had a cracking game playing some nice football & seemed to very focused today. Loick was causing no end of grief for them with his run's & didn't deserve that booking but good to see their 5 got a red who throughly deserved it & should have gone in the 1st half.
Ben Greenhalgh made us look a lot sharper when he came on, & McBean looked threating & we will hopefully see alot more of that in the near future.
Have to say how many handballs in the box did they get away with? Unreal!
Great win Lads, not the most stylish of performances but a GREAT 3 points to chalk up!
Slightly off topic, but youve got to like this guy havent you? Hes had all sorts of stick in the past but he comes across as very intelligent and no nonsense.

In the words of Alan Partridge - Ah Ha! Mr Spills!
We got the 3 points & we move onwards & upwards, all seemed to play well but not most attractive football at times - but who cares as we all know we can play some of the the best football in this league when comes down to it.
Ben Martin m.o.t.m. for me.

Their manager bangs on about a push leading to our goal but we could spend all day going on about the assaults on pires on the first half. The worse one was a goal scoring opportunity and their player only got a yellow? There were two handballs in the box as well. Farnborough didn't really create much in a scrappy game and would have been lucky for a point.
Here are farnboroughs highlights, paid for and produced professionally by FC Video.
Ours will be up tonight on teh official site. From watching it i cant see where Spencer Day could think that Farnborough "Had by far the most opportunities".

What a joker their manager is! We played badly and still won, but rather than question his own team all he does is blame the referee! I know I'm biased but that was not a foul by Clarkey before our goal, just a coming together of players.

Every team is capable of a bad day, you've clearly had a few yourself given your league position. Surely you must realise that Welling didn't play as well as they could of yesterday, and were also missing Pugh. You admit your team didn't play as well as they could of, perhaps focus on that and doing something to improve their performances, rather than the usual blame culture towards a referee, or slagging off the opponents. If Welling were so mediocre as you claim why did you fail to get anything from the game ??

That is all.
could have!
Is this the mediocre Welling that bashed them at their place?

Agree with all observations Marmite,I would add Parkinson played well with Ben and young Pope has great potential.
Now I am usually a big fan of his but, aside from a very good assist for the goal, I thought he was poor on Saturday. Someone from the back four should have probably got MOTM.
Still a clean sheet and three points is not to be sniffed at and these sort of wins are every bit as important as some of the thrashings we have handed out this season.
Need to step up our performance levels next weekend as we will be missing Parky and Healy.
