I think we're going to struggle to overturn that one, particularly as Ashby is quoted on our own website as saying that he has no complaints about the red card decision.
I find myself agreeing with Moo. When it happened, it was one of those moments when you know it's a booking but hope only a yellow is shown. It didn't help with it happening on the doorstep of the Chelmsford bench and with the reaction that subsequently followed by them.
The club / Daisy have every right to challenge the Red card. Single footed challenge that wasn't high, got the ball cleanly, just the 10's leg was in the middle. No charge to answer.
Video will be on official site in a few seconds ....
Wings lost the appeal. I still dont think its a red. What is not in doubt is for part of the tackle the ref was unsighted behind sambrook and he hasnt asked his assistant and just flashed the red card after their bench ran on the pitch.

Difficult to debate without seeing it on video .... for an appeal to have succeeded the video has got to either demonstrate the referee got it wrong or for the referee to review the video and for him to say that his original decision was wrong. Ultimately its down to the referees opinion of what constitutes excessive force.
Based on the video alone the I think problem isn't the leg that made the initial tackle but rather the other leg which follows through and appears to catch the Chelmsford player who certainly reacts to apparent contact from Jamie's trailing leg.
Think the FA were correct to dismiss the appeal as the video doesn't demonstrate that the referee was wrong. I don't agree with referees decision as I think the challenge was at worst reckless rather than one using excessive force but ultimately its his opinion.
I have not seen the video but at the time I thought it was pretty similar to the one done on him a few minutes earlier. Whilst we have to accept the decision the FA had a perfect opportunity to act on the pitch invasions by management that are becoming a regular feature. Pennyfather should have been fined and given a touchline ban.
Well it doesn't surprise me it wasn't overturned....I do agree with Danson about the reaction though!.....It will give Daisy a rest which may be needed....with a full squad aprt from him we will be ok you would think....we were at the start of the season and he will come backl refreshed
