The game on Sat is most likely going to fall foul of the weather, however from Sunday the weather seems to be improving so do we think there is the chance that the game could be played next Wednesday? - their reserves play at home on the Tuesday.

I spoke to someone who lives very near maidenheads ground and they said their garden is like concrete , so i would be pretty certain tomorrow is off.

I see Slough have arranged a friendly with Harrow Borough for an artificial pitch. If we lose many more games to the big freeze i wonder if we will play Erith, Cray or Maidstone or something on the artificial pitch at well hall in a friendly?

I would go to those if they happened :)

think it would be behind closed doors if we play friendlies to get a game in. Clubs couldnt steward a game elsewhere and wouldnt be covered insurance wise.

I think you will see clubs doing a few of these games as this weather looks in for a while.

Maidenhead must seem pretty confident of the game being on as they have not announced a pitch inspection as of yet.

And that's probably because you can't actually see the pitch at the moment because of the snow and ice on it.

Oh yes they have its at the bottom of the match preview and says " Due to the freezing weather, Saturday's game will be subject to a pitch inspection. Keep checking the Advertiser website for any updates."  That's the Maidehead Advertiser by the way.

Pitch inspection between 9:30 and 10am tomorrow. Probably not going ahead if it's like concrete but can't be certain

I live near to Maidenhead and my garden has snow covering most of it and where it is clear it is rock hard - not much chance of going ahead.no

How could we have arranged anything when the game was not called off until this morning?

I agree, but you cannot make arrangements with another club until you know for certain.

Whitstable have arranged a friendly for this Wednesday away at Dover, seems a good idea as will get rid of some rustyness and the temperature is rising this week.
