Having just watched the highlights I would suggest that Mr Gale does the same then actually appologieses to the referee.
The booking of Jones could easiuly have been a red. A raised boot showing studds is in the news all the time at the moment. Straight red you couldnt argue.
The second booking. Oh dear. Mr Gale suggests why would the player look to dive. The Welling player stuck out a foot he says. Yes, yes .. a foot was stuck out, why would the player dive?
But he did. Maybe Mr Gale should have a word with Scott Jones. Was diving to gain an advantage .. ???
The penalty .... og dear, oh dear. Clearly handball. A raised arm, moved towards the ball .... why did the lino not give it? The foul. A clear challenge after the ball had been touched, taking out Pires. Yes a penalty?
Jesus wept he did ...
Maybe Shaun Gale could come on any answer why his players were dropping bals over the advertising hordings? Why they did not see fit to interact with Faz whilst on the stretcher?
I think the phrase is wreckless for that tackle, he lunged in and wasnt in control and injured our player. When refs have sent off ours for not connecting its a farce that we get the raw end again when someone does a worse tackle and puts one of our players out.
Need consistency. I did laugh when their fans and manager said the 9 was tripped or didnt dive. They tried to stretch the laws of the game and in my opinion were cynical and timewasted at every opportunity. They dont do that off their own backs. Picking the ball up and dropping over the barrier is ungentlemanly at best as was CBB booting the ball away twice and their keeper walking slowly to near where the throw on was being taken place, near half way line to give the ball to the player who was 5 yards from where the ball was. but the keeper thought he would walk 40 yards. The 10 was walking slowly on purpose when he went off no one walks that slow ever.
They got what they deserve NOTHING, which is a silly as they have one or two decent players but their tactics are all about stopping teams rather than trying to play football. They have no confidence in their ability and if they play like that for the rest of the season they will be in the bottom 3 and not have the belief they can WIN games rather than try not to lose.
I like Gale but that was horrible from his team. He should apologise to us , let alone his fans.
