Probably cos dartford fans climbed the fence to have a row at woking and someone posted they had heard welling were going to cause trouble on Saturday on their forum. Hard one to work out what club they support!!!
Also their fans kicking in the hordings and one of them hitting Jamie at PVR could be part of the reason too added to the stuff on the radio last night.

Woking obviously have their own reasons for segregating the supporters on Saturday. It would be interesting to find out if they have made the same decision for other visiting teams during this season. If so, then fair enough. But if not, I take this as a huge compliment to our team. We have a very vocal group of supporters and by concentrating the Wing's support into one area the volume will sound louder still. Many of us enjoy watching from the stands so come Saturday we'll be on the terraces boosting the vocal support alongside the 'behind the goal gang', and as one unit the atmosphere will be fantastic. The Chris Lane Terrace does not look the best, but do we really care? Yes it might rain, but when the whistle blows it will be Welling that will get the twelfth man. And whatever the final outcome, and when the Woking fans are travelling home, they'll be saying that the Chris Lane Terrace was the best place to be that afternoon.
Just a thought: I'll be wanting to stand anyway but what if there are Welling fans who wish to sit? Are you allowed to force away fans to stand at this level? I don't see the difference between that and not having any seats at all...
My dear Christian A good point, but I would imagine that Woking have in place disabled areas as well as places whereby those who are in need of seating get access to it. On my part, I'm used to sitting in the Royal box so I'm taking my favourite Louis the XIV chair and dark blue velvet cushion encrusted with gold cord with me. Anyone in need of a sit down will be welcome to use it.
Theres a tea bar and toilets over there. just bring a brolly. Good point by trigger everyone tgether will create a right racket and create a good atmosphere.

As a matter of interest .. did they keep the Farnborough supporters seperated aswell??? ... strange decision to make , but then seeing how their supporters dont grasp the "changing of the ends" as shown at PVR this season then maybe it's of no surprise .. I'd rather be segregated , rained on, kept away from the lords and ladies of Surrey if they'd rather keep their comfy seats and roofing from the elements .. can ruin the fun as much as they'd like it won't work (also , any reason why we can't at least have behind goal in the normal "away end"?)
Just turn up and go to the home gates ... unless you are wearing Welling related clothing noone will know you are a Welling fan
Bugger , always knew that giant winged horse logo on my face would be the undoing of me one day .. will have to wear a "jason style" hockey mask and pinstripe suit to get in then
In the event we play Woking next season I trust Barrie will arrange to segregate their fans unnecessarily at PVR and give them a small, inappropriate, run down section of the ground and generally treat them like scum.
Why's everyone moaning? It's exactly what Garry Hill wants - he's hated us for years and has been building this up into a grudge match since the home game to the extent he wants every little advantage he thinks he can get. Hence segregation, leaving us without a roof to keep rain out and noise in.
Not worth it with them, under baker they brought 70 fans tops as they were struggling, then this season they bring 300 as they were in 2nd behind us. If they were doing bad wouldnt be worth it. If they were doing good putting them in the park end gives them a great view.

Are we looking at the Segregation issue from completely the wrong angle? There will come a time when the Card's will return to PVR. After careful consideration I feel that the following will be worthy of consideration.
Personally, I'd would invite the Woking fans warmly and offer them all a place in the Executive Lounge. I would ask for all the names of people attending and get their names engraved onto fancy glass place mats. Out would go the existing tables and I would replace them with Ye Olde English Oak with hand carved engravings of Welling United Legends. Out would go the imitation mahogany Tudor MDF seats and they will be replaced with mature and original cedar wood. The carpet would be replaced by luxury Wilton and the wallpaper removed and have hand painted football related themes put all around. I would encourage intermingling with Wing's fans and bend over backwards to give them all an enjoyable day. They would be offered free drinks from the bar or a nice cup of tea for those who are driving.
What's that I hear you say? But wait! Read on.
By doing this, it will make their owners; playing staff and fans feel totally embarrassed by what they did to us. It is a well known scientific fact that people learn the error of their ways by feeling this way rather than being moaned at. Then afterwards, when they have enjoyed our friendly hospitality and we have waved them goodbye we will turn around to each other and say "that will teach them".
Whilst I agree it is rather OTT for this particular game it is something that, if we were to get promoted to BSP will become commonplace.
I would guess that at least 75% of clubs currently in the Conference probably segregate at home and, while we wouldn't need to do it every week, we would have to segregate PVR for a number of games.
Won't be ideal if it rains on Saturday but if we segregated at PVR I assume we would give oppo fans the park end which makes Woking's long terrace seem like paradise.
Ok logistically it would be a problem at the moment but not an insurmountable one. We would have to give them the road end then - either way if promoted we will need to segregate.

Under segregation would we not have to provide refreshment and toilet facilities. Therefore would assume that away supporters would be allocated the new stand. This would avoid very costly building works for facilites at either the park or road ends.

Dont feed grassbank he already reports every post on here to the afc conf south forum to try and cause aggro. We have never caused any aggro at a game.

No but Woking have. Maybe it's their own supporters that cause them concern.
As for Topbank, I think it is quite amusing that he is so obsessed. I don't think I've looked at their forum since two or three days after we played them.
