On the train back from Woking yesterday I was sitting by one of our temp stewards Alex. He said why dont we have a last away game of season tradition like everybody dressing up for our last away game, which this season is Hampton. He said we should do this 'cause hes seen loads of other clubs have fun traditions and thinks that we should try it. I just told him that I will make everyone aware of it on the Forum so I am. He also mentioned coach travel and said "why dont we have it?". I told him that ive gone down that road many times and have only succeded once. He thought that we should have it because we are an important team in the league and even if we dont go up, we will still be pushing next season. Even the likes of Farnborough have coach travel and even though they were way up there last season, they are now down the bottom and still affording to do coach travel. Raising awareness!

I don't know why we keep getting posts about coach travel. The fact is that if people wanted it then it would be supported and we would have it. It seems to me that Welling supporters, on the whole, like to make their own way to games. Some like to get there early and have beers before and after the game - others turn up at ko and head home after the game. Coach travel has been tried on many occasions but people don't sign up. Let us stop flogging a dead horse.

As for dressing up at the last away game - I can't think of a worse idea (actually I can think of lots of worse things - Bubbles and the Dogkilla on the pitch in thongs is one that should put you off your lunch but I am sure that you get my point). Dressing up is what you do at nursery school isn't it?

 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!    :o

Seriously, Chelwing is right, coach travel just don't work as he explained, & as for dressing up lets leave that to the fancy dress crowd supporters of the premiership clubs.

Coach travel hasnt worked many many times, the "hardcore" element that go to pretty much every game always head by train, and there just arent enough people attending regularly enough to justify it ... in general.

I'm not afraid to say that this has left a very colourful image in my mind, one which has made me start feeling a little queer.

Put off your lunch? More of a turn on in my eyes.............

Chelwing you have a point here, but I can see a Sumo event between the pair of them being somewhat popular.

Salt or rice anyone?
