Adie said he will play the Under 18s at Croydon, i say play them at Basingstoke on Saturday. We have again 5 players out, plus i dare say a couple playing with knocks. The Trophy (at this stage of our regrouping as a club) means very little. Forcing players back (a la Kedwell last Saturday) can only hinder their chances of regaining fitness. Play the Kids plus the guys on the bench and have some senior pros on the bench. We have a small squad and dont need trophy matches and replays in the winter (and league games cancelled).
We CAN win this League but we have to give ourselves every chance of doing so. Play the Kids......
Mad, Stupid?? or common sense? We brought Kedwell back he lasted one half and has possibly made his injury worse. Hopefully we havent done the same with Perkins. What do you all think?

I would like to see our lads going into every major game with the best chance of winning, not so concerned with the two county cups but the FAT is a big cup at our level and there is the all important money up for grabs.
Have to disagree with JGFC, by all means play some sort of mixed teams in the LSC and KSC but the Trophy is another matter altogether. I'm not convinced by the money side of things since the sums involved are fairly low but the Trophy does carry some prestige and we've never been beyond the quarter finals.

This goes completely against your earlier posts urging Pennock to believe. Get the supporters team to play in KSC and LSC if you have to but NOT the Trophy. Believe in your front line team for that otherwise what sort of message does that send to them. Piles the pressure on League games if nothing else!
If we can get through to play a Conference National side that will give us a true yardstick of what we need to do if we can sustain our progress. Huddersfield was not a fair yardstick as they were a lot further up the Leagues.
Ok, Bring back Kedwell, Use Perkins, Maybe Clarke, Let another couple of the players with knocks make them worse.... Then through lack of bodies, lose form in the league,
Where will we be?? Out the Trophy and mid table. (Refer to this post in April!!) With Manager blaming injuries and a Small Squad.
If however most were rested, the walking wounded have another week resting, those with knocks get to rest, the League assualt will get a second wind.
The Trophy can only hinder our league chances and injury problems. We have i dont know £50-60k from the cup run already. This is the first year in 20 that we have been challenging properly, Give it our all, sacrifice the Trophy, protect the first team. Tell the players, right you lot we are going to win the league we are bringing in a couple of players to help. You are all rested in the Trophy. Im happy to be proved wrong. We must stay up there, simple, best chance of doing so is to sacrifice these cups. FFS you cant play the supporters team it will be 100-0 given their record even at their level.

And if we take the F**k the FAT approach, what are we to next year when we may be in the proper conference. If we go up and struggle or sit in mid table will we be saying never mind the trophy, we have to protect our new conference status. NO I say we go in and go in strong, I am going on saturday and will be very dissapointed if they play a weakened side.
It seems a bit arrogant to assume that if we play our best side we WILL win. It is quite possible it becomes academic at 17:00 on Saturday regardless of who we field.
