Dartford seem to have been told the KSC counts as a game suspended if a player is out for yellow cards or red cards...

Didnt Joe miss all league games as they said KSC doesnt count and even more tinpot.... it doesnt count but you cant play in the KSC game.

What is going ? Seems very unfair if one club can gain advantage and we were refused it.

Cannot be right if Wilkinson of Dartford uses the KSC game against Hythe to use as one of his games he has to miss and we were refused the same.

Burman has been quoted on there that the player will miss the KSC game as one of the 2 games, its not Dartford fault at all. But does seem a farce and an advantage in the league that a player of theirs gets to play one more game than one of ours in the league when both were suspended?

It could also be wrong aswell and he may not be able to use the KSC game, but they seem under the impression on and off the pitch that he can.

Confused?

That seems fine then if thats the case, you are of course correct that Joe should have been allowed to play in the KSC if it didnt count. So somewhere in all that we have been disadvantaged as he would have been a bit fitter. The London Senior Cup is a complete mickey mouse waste of time in my opinion. I am pretty sure Dartford dont play in other senior cups. If we HAVE to play in the LSC and the KSC then both should count for suspensions imho.

It must be an FA rule then rather than Kent FA or Conference.

It depends if Dartford participated in the London Senior Cup. As we were in both, only one competition counts for using up suspensions and I believe that Welling are allowed this in the LSC only.

What made it worse was that One Joe was not allowed to play at Dover even though the game did not count as one of the ban he was serving.

In which case, can we please make a decision on whether we are London or Kent and enter one cup only ... something so trivial as this could result in a ban being carried over to a meaningful game. Its not like the first team often play in the mickey mouse cups ... and the "crowd" and money made from these games is zilch.

We are obliged to enter both I believe.

If we are obliged that's just daft. Why should we have potential fixtures pile ups because a certain association would like us in our competition? And were charlton obliged to take part in the KSC because Kent wanted them, or did they have a choice?

I don't know all the details of what teams have to do what but these competitions would never cause a fixture pile up as we are not obliged to play first team players.

In the absence of a meaningful reserve set up, these games can be useful to look at back up players and give games to first teamers needing a run out.

We are affiliated to both the London and Kent FA but I'm sure we come under 'London' first? Not sure full details but this might explain it.

We are automatically entered into both as we are affiliated to both ... lose one affiliation and guess what, you lose one cup competition per year. It makes us no money, and it does us no favours.

Thing is, if a club like us who are only Blue Square south, and we don't bother putting out our first time, what is the bleeding point in these silly cup competitions?!

If the season is fading out with a mid table finish these cups can provide a bit of joy. There was a good turnout when we beat Whitstable in the final a few years ago.

The club must have a reason (or obligation?) for the affiliation to both.

We are lucky to be in a position to be able to play fringe and youth players in these cups. I was talking to an opposition fan this season (think he was H&W but not sure now), and was told in their Senior Cup the rules state players must have played in the 3 previous league games.

The Hampshire Senior Cup matches also take precedence over league games. You'd have done well to find an opposition supporter to have discussed this with today though!!
