Great result. Watching that Bet365 pitch image is more nerve-racking than watching live! My heart was in my mouth when "Sutton: Dangerous attack" popped up in the 96th minute. Hopefully Luis and Faz will be fit for Sunday. We need our strongest XI out and can't afford to get complacent, a week should be more than enough time to rest and prepare should we make it to the final.

I agree, it made it look like Sutton were all over us.... but even if they were, the boys got it done and all I can say to Sutton about their Manager's recent "no pressure on us" comments....... "who's sorry now!" and maybe when they come to PVR we should play them some music on the PA - how about Queen ...... "Under Pressure!"
My best night as a Welling fan, players and fans both brilliant, really, really special night. Hard to pick a man of the match because everyone was brilliant but I'd say Pires just nicked it for me. Let's get the job done in style and then set up a huge match at Princes Park.
What a great night that was. The boys did us proud tonight (as always) and a similar performance on Sunday should be enough.
The supporters played their part and were very vocal, and this helped the team immensely. And finally, JgFc did a fine job with the filming as always. Well done to you all.
All in all, it sounded like a good game, only one yellow card and it appeared from comments to be hard fought without getting out-of-hand. Sutton seemed to bring pressure well, so the second leg has the makings of a real blinder of a game. I wish I could be there to see it.
Unbelievable turn out from the fans last night. I can't remember when we last took so many to an away game (more than what we had at Huddersfield, Luton etc.).
The train back from West Sutton was rammed with Welling fans.
Top marks to management, players and supporters last night who all did their bit for the cause. However it is just 'half time' and we need more of the same from everyone on Sunday.
As Gary said the train was like a mini Welling special on the way home and the looks on the faces of those who boarded our carriage at Wimbledon was priceless!
Thought the ref did well on the whole, thought we could have had a pen for handball as their guy moved his arm to the ball. He didnt let the home fans whingeing all game get to him.

Good to see Andy Pugh standing on the terraces supporting his old team-mates too.
Quite a few ex-Wings there last night in some way or another,- Tony Sinclair and Joe Howe were both watching, obviously Riviere was playing against us and Craig Braham-Barrett was on the sidelines who I'd guess must be injured
10 passes before Clarkie headed home the first. Not bad for a physical team according to some whove seen us play once ... Like Jamie said the other day in his interview... we can mix it, we can play...

Me and my dad were saying that we think we brought around 300 fans last night. But what was good is that some people who never go away games were there to support the wings also nice to see Andy Pugh there. For the second leg who do you think we will play in midfield baker or Kinch.
