.....that we didnt replace pughy and that is where it may have been slightly out of shape......We played with two players that play their best OFF a front man. Having said that I am probably being picky
I REALLY hope we can keep the spine of the side and go again!!!!!
Who knows? Hopefully one of the local papers can get an interview with Jamie Day after the dust has settled, and ask him for his plans for the next campaign.
We must keep Daisy as I fear without him we will lose the nucleus of the team. As mentioned above we have missed having an out and out striker and this was never more evident than yesterday. Gutted for all concerned that we aren't going up but strangely not too deflated about the defeat as we weren't at the races. If we can retain and build on this team next season could be the one. Hoping for some early noises coming from manager/players and club alike. Still a blinding season and everyone can be proud that a club almost out of existence 18 months ago is still a force to be reckoned with.
We lost Pughy but we gained solidity through the team and also on the bench, Our defensive record improved. When Jamie's interview from yesterday gets uploaded later tonight i think the fans will be encouraged as he talks about next season.
