I think Kevin hit it on head, Budget Cut is not the way of looking at it, When Pughy went i think the budget increased, i would imagine its gone back to normal rather than cut. Hopefully we have some good friendlies and can bring in some new fans off the back of last seasons performances.
Id rather have a sustainable budget than get in the cack over money again. Would hope if we had a great pre season and brought some crowds in , jamie will get a few quid extra if we need it.
More than confident that Jamie will still assemble a good squad with a chunk of last seasons players and a few decent newcomers who are hungry.
Jamie clearly states the budget is reduced from what we finished with, not a budget cut in my opinion. Just sensible from Jamie and the Club.

I think the key point to note is it has been cut from what we finished the season at. Its not necessarily lower than it was prior to the budget increase around Feb when we brought in Kinch, Holloway and McClaren (largely covered by the Pugh money I suspect).
I have confidence that Jamie will, once again, do what is right.
The other key part here will also be IF we lose any players to higher clubs there will be a fee again which can hopfully be utilised again!!! We are not the only club in budget cutting times.....some players (not necessarily ours) will find that money once there for 'silly' wages will not be around and they will have to deal with that. So long as we have the backbone of last years group then add 3 or 4 younsters that have the ability to progress we will be fine
