That leaves just over a week to contact solicitors, receive application forms, raise the funds and return same to solicitors .... seems very tight to me.
Not heard or seen how much per share officially, had the feeling the 30% will go for 27k. Which values the club at 90k. If someone gets 24% for shirt buttons they have a very good deal and a strong position moving forward to make that investment even better or gain a larger percent.
As for not a lot of time, i think thats only going to weaken WUSAs ability to make a proper decision as everyone else can wire the money or do an instant transfer so no need to send cheque when you can get the money their instantly. WUSA are hardly likely to buy 20 packages of shares given they cant ballot their members. Id quite like them to do just that though as its a googly.
Also are a lot of shares sold already with money in situ, say someone says tomorrow i'll have 7% but there isnt 7% left?
The one thing i dont understand is apart from the "package of shares for £450" nobody has a clue how much a share, how much the club is valued at and what having a share package entitles the owner to.
It hasnt been publicised or described very well given its been going on for ever. Some people arent going to be happy.

So a message on the official forum goes out on 23rd May asking for cleared funds by 31st May.
So that gives you 8 days (or 6 working days if you prefer) to firstly decide if you want to buy shares, get the forms, file your application and get the finance sorted out. All very lastminute.com
What happened to transparency and keeping the fans (some of whom bailed them out of the s**t less than 18 months ago lest we forget) more informed.
I have to be careful what I put on here, but given the minimum donation is £450 I think that about all the club can expect at such short notice from most. Is anyone going to buy a serious amount in the 1000s at short notice ?? Even if someone wanted to spend 10k on shares, which I doubt, but if they did, you would need to be posting a cheque TODAY for it to arrive and then clear the banking system by the 31st.
Yes, who are the members club ?? and anyone wanting to buy 12% of the club based on figures Ive heard mentioned has more money than sense, and/or doesnt want their money back any time soon/at all.
This is another example of the club in my view letting the supporters know just what they want them to know. Its fine when they wanted help to bail them out of a HMRC situation but when the boot is on the other foot its often a smoke and mirrors approach.
TBH if the issues of late had been known to me before I bought my season ticket this year I would have thought twice and thats bold for me as Ive been going since Abbo's golden goal against Gateshead in 92/93. A football club is for life and you go through the ups and downs with the team but the off the pitch antics have made me think otherwise. WUSA can only do so much as the club will allow them/let them know.
From next season I am just going to watch whats on the pitch and try and take no notice of what goes on off it-BTW do we know yet who the "members" are?
Happy hour briings in a nice screw, eric brought in loads through his legwork. things are better and you saw that transfer to the pitch. we are doing things that other clubs have followed. We need to keep doing it.
As for losing Woking and Dartford i think thats why the club and Jamie have been working hard to get some good friendlies and hopefully you will see that work come to fruition shortly.
Lets realise that some things need to improve , that a lot has improved and we are stronger for it and will continue to be so if we keep going, I see us as stronger than last year also remember theres no waving by by to the friendly money this year to the HMRC.

I thought it was strange the news about getting accepted as a cic club came out late the Saturday night before dartford.
Has the league or FA set this date to buy shares or the club?
Either way not enough time.
As I understand it the club couldn't proceed with the share issue until the members had confirmed their agreement to the formation of a CIC. To enable the application to become a CIC to be submitted the members had given agreement in principle last November I believe it was. The members still had to agree the actual conversion to a CIC and the consequent transfer of the assets and liabilities to the CIC and this didn't happen until Monday night.
The timeframe for the sale of shares is a club decision. The Club's financial year ends on 31 May and monies have to be lodged in their account at Leathes Prior by 29 May so I don't think it takes a lot of working out as to why the share issue timeframe is so short, a potential 54K investment on one side or the other at the point of conversion which the club has stated will be 1 June.

Its all a complete irrelevance. CIC, PLC, LTD, BS, WDYPTC ... doesnt matter. They have no money. They are losing money. There is no sudden reason why we would make a greater income, and the outgoings wont reduce without a budget cut which is counter productive, as results then suffer and that effects income.
You dont need, nor can afford, to run a commercial manager at our level and with our income and outgoings. Dover, Dartford, Woking with bigger incomes can, and in turn they generate even bigger income, we cannot. We need an owners/owners who can multi-task and have numerous skills.
ie ... Manchester City can have two players for every position as money is no object, Welling cannot, we need players that can fill in in numerous positions. Same applies off the field.
Bit harsh Kevin, one is general manager and does the pitch for TWO teams and does it bloody well. The other is the admin of the club. You simply cant expect the two of the owners to also do commercial activities that are needed. Unless you want to run them both into the ground and send them doolally through stress.
Commercial Manager on commission will suit the club well. Eric did a great job last season on Programme and Advertising.
IF commercial manager does as decent as Eric and if we do the happy hours and if we get some decent games in pre season we will be ok and solid. I think we will get all three.

From what I've read the club paid off a reasonable amount of debt this season which is a massively positive step for the future. We also grew our average home crowd which in this tough times is also very positive, particularly when lots of league clubs are offering £5 a ticket, kids free etc. Moving to CIC status should make everything a little more transparent.
I'm looking forward to this season both on and off the pitch

Remember we are losing Woking and Dartford gates, the two highest in the league. That will effect income through the turnstiles. Debts have only been paid, based on my knowledge, as a result of "handouts" from supporters, the finances of the club itself, and its "self-sufficiency" are no better than before.
