Just of some interest to a few of you, the Bexley Round Table are hosting their first ever beer festival at the Guy Earl of Warwick (next door to PVR) this Friday, Saturday & Sunday (20th July onwards).

It would be fantastic if some of you could come down and support the event!

Talking of beer, LIDL have one of their Shepherd Neame specials on.

London Gold Rush (assume it's a connection to the Olympics) 3.8% 12 x 500ml bottles for £12.

The notes on the back say: - SEE Golden, SMELL Grapefruit, Citrus, Honey, TASTE Fruity, Refreshing, Zesty.

Personally I just want to SEE beer, SMELL beer, TASTE beer.

They had a mountain of them when I went in at 8:00 this morning (Thursday 19th).

Not to be confused with THE Welling beer festival which as we all know is the Welling United Beer Festival which this year is being held on 19 October.

Strange that with the whole of Welling to stage their beer festival the round table should choose the pub which is literally within spitting distance of the site of our festival which was highly successful last year.

We have a close relationship with the Guy Earl of Warwick, which helped us massivly in setting up our first ever beer festival. We aren't trying to steal any thunder from Welling United's one at all! We just want to build our coffers so we can help provide donations to charities and in being the youngest roundtable in the world (average age is 21) we need every bit of help we can get!

Don't worry, I'll also mention to people about the next upcoming one in October smile

Love 1698 but a bit strong for a session. The new special is very nice.

Noneof the Tapping The Admiral  left in the Welling branch. It was another good special from Shepherd Neame but my favorite was the Diamond Royale.
