We know that we have to match them for effort and not switch off and if we get on top we need to keep going at them until theyve had enough.

They arent a bad side but we should be able to see them off if we put in a shift on Wednesday night, the draw on Monday is irrelevant, whether we get a home or away game against a good team or a county team. Win on Wednesday and the next round and we are one game away from the football league clubs and a possible home sky tv game.

That should be motivation. Hopefully our boys will be up for it and we can get through comfortably and start well. I cant see Concord handling us if we play with tempo and have good movement.

Thwaites Original Real Ale will be £2 a pint on Wednesday night in the Wings Bar so get there early.

We had this on the band nite Last Friday and yes its was a really good pint....

However seems strange that we paid £2.80 for a pint rather than the £2.00 quoted by JGFC im hoping that its not been reduced because its the same barrel. !!!!

If this is not the case then its the first time I've been aware that the prices are increased for a function Unless the club are doing a happy hour on wednesday if so please ignore this statement !!

Jamie sent off for a two-footed tackle on the halfway line. Looked  fair decision on frst vewing, ref was encouraged by their management running on te pitch though

Will try and remember Moo though maybe only HT FT and any breaks in play unless someone else can do the updates, hopefully the clubs twitter will be updating.

Should be highlights from Saturday and the previous game at Farnborough on in the wings bar from an hour before kick off.

Lets try and get behind them tonight, hopefully we start well and it can be a memorable night under lights at PVR.

Can't go tonight but I hope the wings fan's give the concord keeper plenty of stick after his antics on saturday. The video confirms that Kinch pulls out of the challenge. This kind of blatant cheating is now worse in non league football than the premier league.

Good result, Concord were working hard and made it difficult, got to be a very good result to beat them with ten men for 63 minutes then go on and get the winner after they equalised.

JT made a couple of good saves. Agree they never really outplayed us at any time but their work rate was spot on,, good luck to them for the rest of the season.

Highlights and interviews with Barry Ashby and Jamie Turner up tomorrow. Fraser was given man of match by the media and press mob.

Alan it looked a yellow at worst real time, But on the big screen it looks a correct decision, played it back in the bar and most thought it was a red. Think he could have sent off two of theirs though.

I cannot access this forum with my phone but I will try and twitter as much as I can, as well as away games whenever possible. I'm quite new at the twittering so bear with me.

Relieved to see us in the next round. I hope Healy's injury isn't too serious?

Ditto. Thanks for keeping us posted. Sounds like it was a bit of a struggle but the result is all that counts. I assume Daisy will be out for a few games now which is a blow.

Looked like a hamstring injury for Healy with no-one near him. He tried to play on for a bit, no idea how serious it is

For all of Concord's possession they didn't look like they'd score but we woke up after they did

I think it ended up with one sending off and about 9 bookings.

It wasn't a dirty game at all and was ruined by the ref who got his book out for just about anything.

I'll look forward to seeing the tackle that Jamie was sent off for. It looked to me like two blokes going in hard and one came out worse off. The guy made a real meal of it and their bench bleated long and hard. I don't think it was even a yellow but I'll wait for the video.

Their first booking deserved a finger wagging but nothing else but once he'd booked the guy he had to keep up the same standard for the rest of the game. It could have been a tight hard fought cup tie but he was determined to make it the Ref's Show and he succeeded. The assistants were fine but let down by their leader.

We're through then. Well done the lads. That was some effort to lead twice against plucky oppo on a damp night while down to ten men. Before Jamie and the current management team, that was a result with other management down the years where we would have collapsed and probably had at least another taking an early bath late on. Credit to Rangers who were competitive in both games, but whose tactics near the end when they knew they were out were a bit questionable.

Many Wings players were given valuable game time over both matches which should serve us well at Dorchester on Saturday. Thurrock next in the Cup, then. Another Isthmian side a few places beneath last night's visitors. Beat them and we really could start swelling the Wings bank balance.

On another matter, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but we're several matches into the season now and I'm sure many Welling fans would like to say a proper goodbye to Andy Sambrook following his announcement of his retirement during the Summer. I admit I've not read all this season's home programmes, but inviting the guy back on the pitch so the supporters could say thanks and goodbye before a future home game would seem to me and I hope others to be a fitting gesture. I would ask if this could at all be made possible.

Well....that was a struggle wasnt it!!!

You could see their equaliser coming as we sat back and went for the 1-0 win

Anyway it doesnt matter how you score - it s how many and we got one more than them....happy days

I hopr One Joe is not badly injured - we need him for his annual sending off at Dorchester (only joking!)

Right - negative stuff out the way first....

Jamie...not good enough and no excuses I'm afraid. Whether he caught the bloke or not it was a two footed tackle and gave the referee all the reason he needed to send him off. It's not the first time and I don't know what makes the red mist come down and results in these stupid challenges. A three game ban on the way which we could well do without.

Yes Concord helped getting him sent off and were chirping at the ref (on and off the pitch for the whole night) and what were we doing.........absolutely **** all?! We need to be more vocal on the field and we need to get in the ref's face and harrass him just like every other team does. It is not pretty but it is professional and I am getting sick and tired of this happening game after game, season after season. If you can't beat 'em then join 'em.

On a positive note hats off to the other ten (and the subs) for their wholehearted effort. It was not pretty but it was all about the result and qualification for the next round. Whilst Concord had a lot of possession and territory they didn't create a lot in front of goal and we defended pretty well. The spirit of this squad has been great for the last two or three years and long may that continue. A tough game at the weekend but if they show the passion and committment (in the right way!) then we can get a result.

Up the Wings

Think Wingnut is wrong about getting 'in the ref's face'. Hundreds are giving the game up and in ten years we will have a real crisis at this level. Think that referees should be given a directive to book all players who chase around the pitch as they did last night.

Thought their manager (the bearded buffoon) was a disgrace, topping it all off with an offer to 'see you in the bar - I mean it' to one of our supporters. If you can't take it then don't dish it out you muppet.

A few bookings and sendings off and it will quickly change but someone needs to put the directive out.

Thought the referee had a poor game - made a rod for his own back by giving a yellow early on and was then inconsistent. Where did 7 minutes added time come from?

Didn't think it was a red but have not looked at the video but if Daysy went why didn't their 8 who did the same and wasnt even booked. We will also get a fine for 6 cards.

Not a great night but the result was all important. If they are representative of the Ryman League they are welcome to it.

The 6 bookings thing was silly, given Jamie has said we have to stop moaning at the ref, to then get 2 late bookings for dissent to earn us a fine was poor. Granted he did seem to be playing on till the 11 men got a few more chances. 7 minutes plus was a joke.

The marching towards the ref thing .... the ref NEVER books the team screaming to send someone off, so why shouldnt we join in? It works sometimes. If they want respect then show some balls and send off someone whos screaming at him to red card someone or book everyone of the 3 or 4 players shouting and marching the ref back intimidating him.

The thing is with getting in the refs face is that IF we believe that it shouldnt be done (and that is the royal we of ALL football supporters) the referees should get the cards out for the harrassment...thats the only way to stop it
