Weve had poxy draws before and seen other clubs draw lower league teams and saunter through to the tv games (Chelmsford etc). Weve got an outstanding chance to be just one game away from the big boys and a possible tv game if we can raise our game and beat two ryman league teams at home.
Players should be buzzing and focused, this is their chance.

Wow, you going to a game J? Try to be positive. Players will feed off positivity and support. Get behind them and go and see some games, you will enjoy it. I can see us passing and moving, playing well and getting through comfortably.

me posting that we will mess it up will have no impact on the players at all as most probably don't even read this forum anyway
and considering our recent cup record I have every right to say it isn't a foregone conclusion we will go through....
I hate it on paper....on the green green grass of PVR it is different.....there is a reason that we got to the play off final last year and there is a reason we are third in the table......We are a VERY good team
The same reasons apply to Concorde (and Thurrock) as to where they are NOT as good as us...BUT we HAVE to show it
Theres 2 major games that stands out and theyre Dover v Bromley and H&Y v Salisbury.....Decent draw for us this year. Could have a good chance of First proper for the first good cup run in a while

they are NOT
Our entire squad has undoubted talent and I'm sure it will be drummed into them that if their attitude is not spot on they could get embarrased. The team spirit appears to be excellent again this season and I'm looking forward to a good performance on Wednesday.
If we do get to the 1st round proper can we please NOT draw Exeter City FC , as I will never hear the last of it from my "Charlton" supporting work chums
I'll have a word with whoevers picking the balls out
& even if we were to go a goal down say - never ever give up, chasing every ball & half chance......cue the Louis Cumbers mentality.
COME ON WELLING!

Well said mate, I understand that football and this forum is all about opinions but I cant stand negative comments from supporters, It creates a bad vibe.
The away crowd set the example of true support.
I believe we will see outstanding games from this group of players, and a good season is in prospect.
I hope to be there tomorrow even if its only for the second half.
Great idea to post that you have little faith in our players especially when the poster hardly goes to a game.
ITS SIMPLE. Get behind them before a game, give them belief and confidence.
Chelwing, is the person who pays the most entitled to more of an opionion or the person who travels the most? I dont see how one person who hardly goes to a game should be encouraged to post their negative views that he has little faith in the players.
GET BEHIND THEM.
Lots of noise tonight, encourage them to keep up momentum.

Yes but the fact i saw 80% of games home and away for the 20 years before that probably gives me a bit of leeway. And while you were bored of football when we were in the ****, i swallowed my pride and came back and supported the club. Cos im pyschic and when they said we had to find 100 bags (of sand) or fold, i knew we would have a great season so i supported the club for that reason. If you had a brain J, you'd be dangerous.
See you at Basingstoke or if thats too far for you, hopefully we draw Thamesmead in the trophy.

J, just take this and learn from it, i am a bit like Brian Clough, we will sit down, discuss something and then agree i am right. I am glad you came round and ended that you think the boys can and will win and you are behind them, despite originally thinking and posting they would get stuffed.
coyw!!

Youve retracted saying we will mess up tonight, and said you are behind the boys, think we will win etc etc. Feng Shui has now been balanced in north kent and we will indeed win 8-0 tonight.
For clarification (As George Galloway would say) is WE Welling, Charlton or Millwall J or Palace, Orient, West Ham, Gillingham?

I'm sorry to say this but after reading his posts about the club and the team I am disgusted.
Criticism after criticism after criticism - why don't you actually turn up and get behind the team, you are banned [Factually incorrect statement removed bruno] - you a typical armchair fan who never turns up and says sack the manager after - 2 yes just 2 bad games -
From your posts you look for failure and want things to go tits up - like it says about 300 fans supporting Erith - so that way you can say "I told you so" - and quite frankly I'm not interested in your opinion - I'm angry with your posts and I really hope Neil or any of the team don't read this forum because it won't do anything for their confidence
And one more thing - what will your opinion of Neil and the club be if we go on a winning streak and are playoffs by christmas?? - you'll nitpick and still find fault
FIVE years ive had this part timer J, rip into me, HAVE FAITH, BE POSITIVE, ARMCHAIR FAN,,,, blah blah, abusve pms.... Please excuse me when i get flippant and facetious and sarky with him when he pipes up from his armchair or the valley. Hes raving mad pal brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

so we must be positive at all times no matter what then?
we SHOULD win tonight and I hope we do but after recent cup performances against "lesser" teams we have struggled - hopefully we can see them off tonight with ease however
Forums are a place for opinions whether they be positive or negative. Whislt the incentive of a home draw against a struggling Furrock is a good one it is also a big incentive for Concord as well. There are plenty of previous examples of us blowing it against so called weaker sides in Cup games - who remembers Clevedon at PVR a few years back?
What I, or others, write on here should have no bearing on the result tonight. Hopefully Jamie and the lads will put in a good performance and that will be enough to see us in to the next round.
I will apologise to J for the dig at him, it does wind me up though that after years of mercinaries we get a team who give blood for us and have been through difficulties yet play for the shirt, the club , the fans. We have a lot of youngsters and need to be behind them and give them confidence to express themselves. More so than some other clubs as they show they want to do well for us. They have a good team spirit and often stay behind for a drink where some clubs have players who get bigger wages who dont really care or give as much.
Lets do this. Together. Believe!!

I am with J and Wingnut too. We must be allowed to have our moans and express our worries. We can't post here thinking about what would the players think if they look at the forum. It is a fan's forum - most of us pay our money to watch the games so we are entitled to have our say.

I've been to 5 out of 9 games this season including Tonbridge away
you sound like a 5 year old saying "he's been to more games than you" so his opinion counts for more but I'm assuming you would be fine with my opinion if I was always on here saying how wonderful we are and how I always expect us to win even as a person "who hardly goes to a game"
I remember the days when you hardly went to games Tom haha
Can everyone calm down please.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, positive, negative or otherwise.
Let's bear in mind we didn't lose at home in the league all last season, and we haven't lost at home this season either. Concord Rangers are in the division below so it SHOULDN'T be an issue beating them, but the players mustn't go into the game thinking its a walkover, they need to do just what they do attitude and performance wise 99/100 at home, and then we will win the game.
No i'd say you have a history of talking garbage and you dont go to (m)any games. Wow " INCLUDING " Tonbridge away, congratulations have a marshmallow. Ps, I was at Tonbridge as well, but I don't want a piece of Marshmallow, thanks.

I remember a few years back when all you did was post negative **** and slag off Hobbins and you refused to go to games so you can't talk on that one
and yeah over the last couple of seasons I only went to a handful of games a season as I just got a bit bored of football although I have always had a season ticket and paid into anything the club needed money for (floodlight fund, sponsor shirts etc) so I've helped keep the club going even though I wasn't there
and just because an opinion (anyone's) doesn't agree with yours doesn't make it wrong btw
The difference is you clown (J), i had gone to 80% of the games before that for 20 years. Also when the club got in trouble i swallowed and supported them while you "were bored with football". So yes i can talk on that one.
And PS your opinion is wrong and counts for little.
Do me a favour and have a day off J.
You can have the last word, go on.....
eeerrrrrr the last two seasons were two of the best we had had in years
and so it is ok for you to take a break from following Welling but noone else is allowed to?
and I can't even be bothered with that bit in bold
