As usual, you make a fair point. You maybe quite right about the WUSA ultimately only having one voice which could fall on deaf ears in regard to implementing change. No one is forcing anyone to join the WUSA, and indeed they shouldn't. So your question still stands why join the WUSA? It's a question that probably has many different answers depending upon each individual.
Last Friday saw the 2nd Welling United beer festival, now, I don't like beer so does that mean I should question the organisers decision on not providing various types of lager?
There have been live bands playing at the club, now, the type of music they're playing doesn't interest me. So should I question the organisers in a negative way?
There seems to be various groups of people and individuals who are putting themselves out to help our football team.
If we have questions about how anything is done, should we ask them? Yes we should. But we should remember that the people giving the answers are trying their best to achieve a positive for Welling United.
Out of a very low point in the club's history a group of people put themselves forward with the idea of doing the same. Maybe the least we could all do is give them some encouragement, support and guidance in what they are trying to achieve.

What is it they are trying to achieve ?? How can I encourage and support without knowing ??
Perhaps the WUSA could have a mission statement and/or a list of objectives that are published somewhere for non-members and others to read ?? A way of encouraging membership, encouraging support and looking to grow and getting backing from anyone and everyone, a way of raising awareness and funds ... rather than the "just join the WUSA as its great, £15 please" approach of present.
Putting it bluntly the answer to your question: No the minutes of our meetings should not be made readily available to non members. Not a member not intitled to read. ( my stance not WUSA)
However your point about bullet points reasons to join concept is currently being looked at by the committee as a marketing strategy and as an action plan from our last committee meeting and personally I see no problem in having this printed somewhere.
As for your question on what WUSA are about and want to achieve.
"we are fellow supporters working on behalf of supporters for the benefit of supporters"
We also do not want a return to the "dark days" that almost finished the club.
Looking ahead we are hoping to help the club celebrate 50 years thus giving us the ideal platform to promote the club to the local community in a positive light.
We also want continue making PVR a better place to enjoy the match-day experience.
Also to clarify your point about being out voted at board level, Our rep is not there to run the club but to air the concerns and views of the supporters via the WUSA vehicle.
Hopefully this reply helps give you a better understanding what WUSA is about and broadly speaking what we want to achieve.
I have stayed pretty much out of this until now......I have chosen not to renew this year (so far)......I have my reasons but what I fear here is a divide being created (again)......We ALL are helping to stabilise the club whether it be by attending functions, the bonus ball, sponsor a goal or indeed those paying into Boost the Budget. Those involved in these activities I would guess are not all members of WUSA. I fear that these fundraising initiatives will 'drop off' if there is a split in the way the support is treated with respect to knowledge. Even in the biggest 'clubs' be they financial institutions or other large companies limited (limited by sensitive material) minutes are posted - or if we don't want to use the word minutes then 'update reports'
I would strongly urge communication and not secrecy......especially for those of us that live many miles away from PVR and cannot attend meetings
