These are processing now, however YouTube is saying this is taking longer than expected so hopefully they will be online shortly if they are not online already.
Highlights to follow ASAP over next day or so hopefully.
They are uploading, its been some project, two people involved , commentary, rendering highlights to allow Aarran to commentate on them then send back then re render. Its also a huge file size.
Should be online around 7pm when uploaded and processed, Will definitely not be online before 630pm. Match Commentary is from @aarransummers from BBC Solent. Please remember he isnt as familiar with our players as we are and he offered to commentate for us all on the game. I think it really adds to the video.
21 minutes of action when its processed, hit the cog for higher quality and share like crazy. more people should be watching the Wings.
Kurtis looks level with at least one defender. The ref booked the 6 twice at the end? Did the 8 get booked twice aswell in the game? Also thought the 7 should have gone for bringing Kurtis down. I really didnt feel he was biased towards us and he gave some leniant decisions in Truros favour. Think they are just gutted they lost and looking for excuses.

From the video Kurtis definitely looks level. Certain penalty as well. Really liked the commentary as well. One or two slip ups on the names but I thought it enhanced it. Any chance of it being repeated?
If anyone wants to commentate they can if they are ok at it. This was a one off from a BBC cornwall reporter who offered to commentate over the highlights.
Someone would need to have a headset with microphone of a decent quality and a laptop or decent digital voice recorder and commentate at the game then pass the audio file on a memory card and give to me after the full time whistle, or upload it to me on the Saturday night or early Sunday at latest.
Maybe if Meridian Radio eventually comentate on our games we can use that. I do think commentary enhances the highlights and it could be really decent.

I must have watched the penalty incident atleast 12 times and i still dont know what the Truro players were moaning about. There was two penalties worth of fouls in there. We only needed one. We got it. Right decision. The only decisions I feel the referee got wrong was the foul on Guthrie I think it was. Should have been a red not a yellow. Obviously the last man. Simply a red
The reaction of some players, Truro's and in football in general, is a joke. If you can't see how and why that is a penalty and a red card its a wonder they have ever got to be a footballer. And from their manager. Disgraceful behaviour. Lost all sympathy for their financial woes after some of their antics. The front two looked good though.
i know i am biased but kurts goal was definitely onside also stonewall pen two feet off ground and also thought healy was manhandled to the ground in the box

I said the same, did feel sorry for them but now for all i care they can disapear.

On their forum they say Hodges was only sent off because Welling players surrounded the ref. I hope they look again. Loui was the only Welling player close to him before the red card was brandished.
Having watched it again, it was a definite two feet off the ground tackle from behind which stopped Ross from scoring. The tackle alone was worthy of a red card. It was a shocker.
Only a few minutes in thanks to my amazingly slow internet meaning the video has to buffer, but I quite like the commentary. Yes, there's a few mispronunciations and errors like him saying Faz "cuts in onto his favoured left foot", but given a few matches I'm sure the commentator would get to know our players better
Perhaps the criticism had a positive effect? KHM and Mott have improved massively since then - I'm sure Muzza would acknowledge that. Clarke hasn't had the best season ever. His opinions are as valid as anyone else's.
Yes we're doing very well, but lets not act like rainbows shine out of everyone's backsides - that's when complacency sets in.

Personally lost all sympathy for the club when I saw who their keeper was. Can't feel sorry for any club who employs someone like that.
As for the match, absolutely no idea what they're complaining about. Hodges tackle was two-footed and from behind when Rosscoe had a tap-in, easy red card. The 7 also should have been sent-off for his tackle on Guthrie when he was through on goal. Also, Guthrie wasn't offside for his disallowed goal. Overall, they were lucky it wasn't more

Whilst not being 100 per cent accurate with players name, for a commentator who is not as aware of our players as perhaps Truro it was an excellent 21 minute video which added a lot to the highlights. Cannot see how you can be overly critical of it.

Even more impressed if he was from BBC Cornwall, no wonder he didn't know some of our players. I hope he was thanked.
Yep he was up till 2am doing the commentary and uploading the file last night so we could get the highlights online today. Ive thanked him. Hes on twitter if anyone wants to thank him @aarransummers
Dan Welling who is one of the voluntaryt Official Website team and who does a lot of the official match reports has volunteered to have a crack at commentary so we will give that a shot. Remember it will be trial and error for us all at the start and the aim is to get a slick commentary that enhances the video highlights as we move forwards.
Some clubs in the past have added the BBC radio commentary onto the highlights, as we all know we receive no coverage so its not an option for us.

My eldest would be a good commentator. He drives me to distraction with his commentary when football is on the telly and he knows most of the cliches off by heart as well! If I miss a goal (or something significant in the game) then it doesn't really matter as when he gives me the full description of events I feel like I was there anyway!
He doesn't attend every game at PVR and is only 13 but I am certain he would love to have a crack at commentary for a game and I am sure he would do a pretty good job as well.
If everyone likes the commentary would gladly talk to Tom about what is involved and see if I can give it a go. Often thought how the excellent videos might benefit from commentary but not sure how to do it.
Paul its pretty straight forward and can be done in many ways.
By far the easiest way is as follows
1 Laptop and headset, record to audacity which is a free audio recording software. Simple upload the commentary saved to .mp3 to me using drop box or wetransfer.com both free. Seemless and no real work after the game, file saves on laptop, simple drag it to dropbox or select it in wetransfer.com
2 Digital voice recorder (with memory card) and headset. Upload the commentary as above.
3 Would imagine an iPad or tablet can be done also or maybe onto an iphone or android if the headset is very good.
Tannoy announcements wont affect the commentary its fine to break the commentary for a few seconds to do the tannoy, Newport do the same.
Then i drop the audio over the full match and edit it as one. Simples.
The long way round involves me editing the highlights and uploading twice for a commentator to watch and record a commentary as an audio file then i drop that over the highlights and re upload. Did that for Truro and was a nightmare and added 3 or 4 hours onto the work and 36 hours to the publishing of the highlights online.
Another way which is possible is use a wireless mic to the camera, but its £150 ish for a sony wireless mic (Sony ECM-HW2) thats very good quality for the camera. Then no uploading of audio needs to happen as its automatically saved with the video. I dont really want to pay that out given all the costs so far.
The three options at the top are free and save the most time, The laptop one is preferably the way but a decent headset on a digital voice recorder can be done and makes it easy all round.
I have downloaded audacity and dropbox and just done a 45 second piece on yesterday's game. If you need any info from me to retrieve it please let me know and then you can see what you think.
I have listened and think it sounds ok from my headset but obviously you are the guys working with it.
Would also be glad to do this type of short report at home games if you wanted to put it anywhere for people who arent at the game but maybe want to have a quick catch up on the game while they are out and about.
