Cracking game, gave them problems, their keeper did well, ref could have give us a pen. Strike and a half for the winner. Town are classy team, classy fans and make Luton seem like a Sunday team. Good luck to them. Our players should take a lot of positives.
Highlights up very late tonight hopefully. Interviews tomorrow.
Really enjoyed the game and glad we have played Grimsby Town, hopefully we will again one day

Just home after a couple of stops for liquid refreshment (I wasn't driving btw). A good hard fought victory for us today and you should be proud of your team, you gave us a far better game than a lot of teams we have played in the BSP this season, and if you do go up then, on that showing, you will more than hold your own next season.
It made a refreshing change for fans of both teams to mix and I enjoyed the pre-match banter in The Wings Bar and afterwards in the pub next to the ground. As for the game, it was a good job that our keeper (who has just been named in the BSP team of the season so far) was in fine form or else the final score could well have been different. No complaints about your penalty, I was stood right in line with it in the open corner and our player just shoved yours over. It was probably the only decision that the linesman on that side got right all game.
The referee was also a bit over zealous with the cards as apart from a few niggles which you get in most games it wasn't really a dirty game. It took a great strike by our lad to win it and then a couple of superb saves by our keeper to keep our noses in front. Hard to tell how many fans we had there with it being unsegregated but going by the official attendance I would have thought around the 250-300 mark.
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season and I hope you manage to go up, but also I hope that we don't play you again next season.

Grimsby probably edged first half. Not many clear chances to either side, other than penalties. I think all 3 were penalties, but others thought Acheampong didn't handle for first one. A few bookings so far, for both sides. Kinch is very fired up and I'm never sure if that's a good or bad thing.
