EasyJet Air fare is under £50 http://www.easyjet.com/splash.asp?lang=en

Depart Stanstead 11:20 arrive Newcastle 12:25

Depart Newcastle Airport 13:10 take the Metro to South Hylton on the green line then X24 bus to Plessey Road.

Depart Newcastle Airport 13:22 take the Metro to Sunderland (city centre) on the green line then X11 bus to Plessey Road.

Depart Newcastle Airport 13:46 take the Metro to Sunderland (city centre) on the green line then X24 bus to Plessey Road.

Time from airport to ground is a little over an hour.

Return flight from Newcastle departs 19:15 arrive Stanstead 20:25.

Buses, Metro etc from airport can be found on tp://www.tyneandwearmetro.co.uk/JOURNEY_PLANNER.HTM

Taking into consideration about £8 to park at Stanstead plus the Metro and bus fares it probably won't cost more than £60.

Ignore the Metro bits on above.

You take the Metro green line to Regent Centre then either X11 or X24 to Plessey Road.

Definitley, getting off at the Regents Centre cuts your metro journey in half.  If you were to go all the way to the Haymarket you would still pass the regent centre on the bus only you'd be adding at least 30 minutes onto your journey.

Definitley don't go to Sunderland though as its considerably out of the way.
